Review Widget Layouts
Six layouts, live previews of each, and a straight answer on when each one is the wrong choice.
Start with the grid unless you have a reason not to
A grid shows several reviews at once with no waiting, no clicking and no motion, which is why it converts better than the alternatives in most places you would put reviews. Every other layout here exists for a specific constraint: not enough vertical space, a need for ambient texture, reviews of very different lengths, or a page with no room for a section at all.
If you do not have one of those constraints, choosing something other than a grid is decoration. Each page below says plainly where its layout is the wrong pick.
Reviews Carousel & Slider Widget
One review at a time, auto-advancing. Best where vertical space is tight.
Pick this if: Vertical space is tight and one strong review carries it.
Scrolling Reviews Marquee Widget
A continuously moving band. Ambient proof, not something people read closely.
Pick this if: You have a lot of reviews and volume is the whole argument.
Reviews Grid Widget
Several reviews visible at once. The safe default and usually the right one.
Pick this if: You are not sure. This is the right default.
Reviews List Widget
A vertical stack, full width each. Best for long reviews and narrow columns.
Pick this if: The reviews are long and the detail is what convinces.
Masonry Reviews Widget
Variable-height cards packed together. For reviews of very different lengths.
Pick this if: Your reviews vary a lot in length and a grid looks patchy.
Reviews Badge Widget
A compact rating badge. Goes on every page; opens the full reviews on click.
Pick this if: You want proof on every page, not just one.
