We had such an immersive experience with Robert to get to know the BriBri culture and community better and understand what key role nature and wildlife is playing in the whole Costa Rica eco-system. The ceremony with the Awa was truly special and our kids still talk from it today. After the ceremony, we had a great nature and chocolate making experience before we went to a wonderful waterfall. I can recommend Robert from the bottom of my heart, he has so much knowledge and wisdom and truly cares about making it a unique experience for you.

A highlight of our time in Costa Rica — unforgettable!
Our tour with Robert was one of the absolute highlights of our time in Costa Rica. It wasn’t just an activity, it felt like being welcomed into a different way of seeing the world. Spending time with him reminded us how important our connection to the earth, to each other, and to ourselves really is.
We learned how to make cacao from scratch, walked through beautiful forest, swam in waterfalls, and experienced aspects of Bribrí culture and traditional plant knowledge. It was relaxed, fun, and deeply grounding all at once.
One of the most powerful parts of the day was the time we spent with the shaman. It was a very special, healing experience, held with a lot of care and respect. The space felt safe, gentle, and genuine, and it is something we will carry with us for a long time.
Robert himself is exceptional. He’s warm, patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and explains the history and traditions of his people with real respect and clarity. Talking with him felt less like being on a tour and more like spending time with a friend who genuinely cares.
If you’re coming to this part of Costa Rica, I’d really encourage you to connect with Robert. It was inspiring, meaningful, and an experience we’ll remember for a long, long time.

This is a really exceptional experience, not only to be welcomed into the village to see the architecture, meet people and learn about history and culture, but also to make chocolate and ask questions about their modern life in Costa Rica. This was the best experience of our trip. Do it!

Robert’s tour with us to visit the Bribri Awà, and to a beautiful river and waterfall in Bribri territory was honestly my favorite day of my trip. It was easily among the most meaningful experiences I’ve ever had. Robert was patient and kind, available to answer any and all questions we had about his culture. I was so impressed by his knowledge and generosity. I cannot recommend booking a tour with him enough. It’s absolutely transformative.
This was a once in a lifetime experience. Roberth is such an intuitive person, and he was very flexible in planning this journey with us. We wanted to learn about the healing powers of cacao, and we left with that - and a new sense of self understanding.
The cacao experience in itself was very fascinating and we appreciated learning from the Bri Bri Peoples who opened their home to us to teach us this ancient wisdom.
We then enjoyed our cacao and had a deep conversation about life with Roberth, whose shamanic abilities were clear from the get go. We felt seen and safe and take this wisdom about ourselves and our nature with us in our lives. Absolute highlight of our trip.
