How it installs on Blogger

  1. 1

    In Blogger, open Layout.

  2. 2

Click Add a Gadget where the reviews should appear and choose HTML/JavaScript.

  3. 3

Paste the BlooTrue embed code and save the gadget.

  4. 4

Save the layout arrangement — the widget renders on the blog.

Where the code goes on Blogger

On Blogger the snippet lives in an HTML/JavaScript gadget, added from the Layout page through Add a Gadget in the section you choose. Layout shows only a box with the gadget's title, never the reviews; the blog itself renders them once you save the gadget and then the layout arrangement. Width follows the section: a sidebar gadget is narrow, while a gadget below the header spans the full column. To put the widget inside one post instead, switch the post editor to HTML view first, because Compose view converts the code into escaped text.

Where reviews earn their place on a Blogger site

The sidebar for every-page visibility, or a full-width gadget below the header.

If the widget does not show on Blogger

  • Code appearing as text on the blog means it was pasted in Compose view; open the post in HTML view, paste again and update the post.
  • If the reviews are missing after saving the gadget, check that you also saved the layout arrangement; the gadget change is not live until then.
  • Reviews look cramped in the sidebar? Move the HTML/JavaScript gadget to a section below the header so it gets the full width.

Blogger Review Widgets — FAQ

Is there a free review widget for Blogger?
Yes — BlooTrue embeds Google, Facebook, Trustpilot, Yelp, TripAdvisor, G2, Capterra, Airbnb, Booking.com or any of 21 review platforms on Blogger for free. Layout HTML/JavaScript gadget or paste in a Post's HTML view. No plugin, no view caps.
Which review platforms can I show on Blogger?
21 platforms: Google, Trustpilot, Yelp, Facebook, TripAdvisor, Airbnb, Angi, Glassdoor, Agoda, BBB, OpenTable, RateMDs, Capterra, G2, Indeed, TrustRadius, Clutch, Expedia, Booking.com, Etsy, Google Play — each with its own Blogger install guide. Starter ($9/month) blends its 3 connected platforms into one all-in-one widget, and Pro ($29/month) and higher blend every platform you connect.
Do I need a Blogger plugin or app?
No. BlooTrue is a pure HTML embed — one line of code pasted into the Blogger editor. Layout HTML/JavaScript gadget or paste in a Post's HTML view.
Can I put a widget on Blogger without editing the theme HTML?
Yes. Blogger's Layout page lets you add an HTML/JavaScript gadget to any section, and the gadget accepts scripts as they are. Paste the embed code into the gadget's content box, save it, and save the layout. Editing the theme through Edit HTML is only needed if you want the code in a spot no section covers.
Why does my code show up as plain text in a Blogger post?
Because it was pasted in Compose view, which treats angle brackets as text to display and escapes them. Switch the editor to HTML view, paste the code where it should render, then publish from HTML view. Avoid switching back to Compose afterwards, since it can rewrite the markup you pasted.
Will the widget show on every page of my Blogger blog?
A gadget added through Layout appears on every page that includes that section, so a sidebar gadget shows on the homepage, posts and pages alike. If you only want it on a single post, paste the code into that post in HTML view instead of using a gadget. Both methods can run at once.
