How we check reviews
A business page on BlooTrue can show two kinds of reviews: reviews from other platforms, and reviews written on BlooTrue. We check them in different ways.

Reviews from other platforms
Reviews from Google, Facebook and the other platforms a business uses are shown with the platform's name and a link to the original. That platform published them under its own rules. We do not edit their text or their stars.
The rating shown for each platform is that platform's own rating and review count, taken from the platform.
Reviews written on BlooTrue
Before a review written on BlooTrue goes live, the person who wrote it confirms it in one of two ways:
- Email confirmed: they clicked a link we sent to the email address they gave us.
- Signed in with Google: Google confirmed their email address when they signed in.
Each review shows which of the two was used. Neither one proves that the person bought from or visited the business, so we never call a reviewer a "verified customer".
One person can have one review per business. If the same email address confirms a new review for the same business, it replaces the earlier one.
Checks before a review is published
Most reviews go live as soon as they are confirmed. We hold a review for a person on our team to read first when it:
- contains a link or a phone number
- uses words from our abuse list
- repeats text already posted about another business
- comes from an email address at the business's own website domain, or from the account that manages the page
- arrives as part of an unusual number of new reviews for the same business in a short time, or from the same connection
We never hold or reject a review because of its star rating. A one-star review and a five-star review go through exactly the same checks.
What "Claimed by the business" means
A page marked "Claimed by the business" is managed by an account that proved it represents the business: its BlooTrue widget is live on the business's website, it signed in with an email address at the business's website domain, it entered a code we sent to the business's phone number, or our team checked it by hand.
Claiming a page lets the business reply to reviews and keep its details up to date. It does not let the business edit, hide or remove reviews.
