I would like to point out that the 25, 30, and now also the 35 lb dumbbells in the gym specifically in the upper section are missing, and they have been missing for over a year, if not two. This clearly shows a lack of attention to the facility. I have raised this issue at least 10 -15 times since last October, and each time I’ve been given a different explanation by the person at reception. I understand it’s probably not his fault that the gym is not being properly maintained, but something needs to be done. We are also paying full price, not just partial so this is not acceptable.

Tony is the best instructor ever but the bikes need repairing, especially the ones in the corner that nobody can use. It’s a shame.

I’ve been a member of World Gym for two months now, and it’s hard not to notice that the gym isn’t being maintained properly. I usually come around 8–9 PM when it’s not too busy. Sometimes I see someone cleaning, but not always. The garbage bins are often full or overflowing with tissue, and the restrooms are in bad shape. The smell is so strong you can notice it from the stairs, and maybe that’s also why the gym itself sometimes smells bad. When I first noticed this, I mentioned it to the front desk, and they said they would inform maintenance. But when I brought it up again another time, I got the same response. I’m not sure if they really informed maintenance or if maintenance is aware but still not doing anything. A friend who’s been working out here for years told me the gym is maintained by just one person. That explains a lot, and I do understand that it’s hard to maintain a 24-hour gym alone. I do appreciate that I can see some equipment being fixed from time to time. But sometimes it takes quite a while. I’ve also noticed that when they’re changing the coating on some machines, they usually take around two at a time, and it stays like that for 2–3 days before it’s done. What really bothers me, though, is the condition of some machines. The leg press has been broken on and off since I joined. It gets fixed, then breaks again after a few days. I’ve stopped using it because it feels unsafe. There are also other machines that haven’t been working since I started, and many dumbbells have damaged or missing rubber coating. They’re still usable, but they really look worn out. Most of the cable ropes are also worn out some look like they’re about to break. I actually decided to bring my own because I’m not comfortable using them in that condition. I’m not sure if maintenance is aware or if they’re waiting until it’s completely broken before doing something about it. Maybe the owner could come visit the gym and see for themselves the condition it’s in. That way, they can have a real idea of what members are experiencing. Also, I wanted to ask if it’s possible to bring back the keycards. I noticed some older members still have theirs, but for new members like me, we have to use our phones to scan in. To be honest, I don’t like bringing my phone when I come to the gym, I just want to work out and head home. Having a keycard again would be much more convenient. Even with all these issues, I can’t say it’s bad to be here. The gym has a large selection of machines, which I really like. I just hope that regular maintenance, faster repairs, and small improvements like the keycard can be considered to make the gym a better place for everyone.
