I have never ever seen such a HEALTHY collection of fish! The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable and truly cares about the hobby and the animals he sells. The shrimp we brought home are doing really well, and he even talked us through the best way to drip acclimate them. This is by far our favorite fish store!

Went for the first time today. The fish all looked excellent, the tanks were clean and the owner was awesome! Great selection of fish with some odd balls you don't see often. Would recommend and will definitely be back again.

We've had nothing but great service here and the owner keeps his fish happy and healthy. If you live in the Knoxville area, take the extra few minutes to go by his store. You won't be disappointed.

Chris is awesome!My husband and I are aquatic hobbyists who are trying to start a few new tanks. We have not had much luck as far as reliable/healthy stock goes in the knoxville area… until we found Chris and Fresh Aquatics! The Bettas have actual filters and aquascaped tanks, all the varieties have their own tanks and habitats, no stress shown. All fish are properly quarantined and medicated before being sold and IT SHOWS! The water system is individual to each tank (unlike other stores that share water between all tanks… and therefore disease and illness). He does individual water changes for every tank so minimal contamination occurs. He truly loves the hobby. After leaving, my Husband and I agreed ALL our future local fish will be sourced through Chris. We took some pictures of our sick fish that we had purchased from another store, once he saw our pictures he walked us through how to give them the best shot at survival. Even offering to house them and nurse them back to health if us giving the medicine did not work! 🤯.The only heads-up is that he caries a limited supply of filters, medicines, etc on hand. But he is more than happy to order anything except for rimmed tanks and lids from what he mentioned to us. He makes orders once a week and has the fastest shipping I have ever heard of. Unless we have an absolute crisis on our hands, we will be going to Chris and Fresh Aquatics.

Fresh Aquatics is basically in my backyard and I'm extremely glad it is. Chris is awesome to deal with and has quickly become my go-to for freshwater.It's a smaller operation, so obviously you're not walking into a giant store with hundreds of tanks, but he keeps expanding and adding more every time I stop in. I've been really happy with the selection and quality of the fish I've gotten from him. More importantly, Chris actually knows his stuff and is always willing to talk through what I'm looking for, answer questions, or help me figure out what will work in one of my tanks without making me feel like he's just trying to sell me something. He can be a little quiet sometimes, so don't be afraid to start the conversation yourself - once you get him talking, he's incredibly friendly and helpful.Having a good local fish store this close to home is dangerous for my wallet, but I can't complain. 😂 Great fish, fair prices, genuinely good customer service, and a shop that keeps getting better. I'll happily keep giving Chris my business.
