We read the free plan of eight tools off their own pricing pages on September 24, 2026, and list them by the limit most likely to break a widget on a busy day, the monthly view allowance.
How we compared them
Four questions, in this order. Does the widget keep showing when traffic rises (the view cap)? What does it show (widget type and how many reviews)? Does it stay current (refresh)? Whose name is on it (branding)? A view is a page load, not a visitor, so one person reading three pages with a footer widget spends three views. The list runs uncapped first, then by the size of the cap. The 8 best free review widgets for Google reviews, one by one
1. BlooTrue
We make BlooTrue, so read this entry with that in mind. The free plan never caps or pauses the widget for traffic, and it is not limited to Google: the same free widget works with Yelp, Facebook, Tripadvisor, Angi, Booking.com and the rest. 2. Featurable
Featurable is the strongest free plan here if your reviews are on Google and you have one location: more reviews than ours, every layout, and no view cap, with a note that heavy use may be rate limited. It covers nothing but Google, and its pricing page does not say how often the free widget refreshes.

3. JustReview
JustReview prices by reviews stored, not by traffic, and its free plan refreshes daily, which most free plans here do not. The catch is the widget: free gets the rating badge, and the widgets that show review text start on Plus.

4. Reviews Widget (reviewswidget.app)
Reviews Widget gives you a small, tidy grid of Google reviews that updates twice a week with no view cap. Six reviews is the tightest limit in the uncapped group, and it is Google only on free.

5. Trustindex
Trustindex covers more platforms than anyone here, and its paid plans are cheap per year. Read its free package carefully: the comparison table puts the review widget layouts and daily refresh in the paid column, and the 7-day trial on the same page is a trial of paid features, not the free plan.
Free monthly views: None stated. Best for: an unusual review platform, if yearly billing suits you later.
6. SociableKIT
SociableKIT has the most generous metered free plan: ten times Elfsight’s views and up to 100 reviews on screen. You refresh it by hand, so it drifts out of date unless you remember to sync.
Free monthly views: 2,000. Best for: modest traffic and a long wall of reviews.
7. EmbedSocial
EmbedSocial keeps free widgets fresh with a daily sync, which is rare. The 500-view allowance is the limit: a footer widget on a site with a few hundred sessions a month uses it up.

8. Elfsight
Elfsight has a polished editor and a large app catalogue. Its free plan is the tightest: 200 views a month is roughly 60 to 70 real visitors with a footer widget, and past that the widget goes away until the month rolls over.

What no free Google review widget will do
None of them puts stars under your own result in Google. Google's review-snippet guidelines, updated in July 2026, make a business's own pages ineligible for star results when its reviews come through an embedded widget, on any plan. The details are in our guide to review rich snippets in 2026.
Check whether AI assistants can read the widget, too. Our free widget renders inside an iframe, which AI crawlers skip, so ChatGPT and Perplexity cannot read those reviews on your page. On our paid plans the reviews are written into your page's HTML. Other vendors render in different ways, so test yours rather than assume.
