I can say with complete sincerity that Ian is one of those instructors who truly make a difference when it comes to introducing Jiu-Jitsu to children. In addition to having a very strong foundation thanks to his family’s tradition in the sport, he has a very natural way of working with kids, showing patience, attention, and a sensitivity that makes every child feel comfortable, regardless of their personality. It was very special to have Ian as our son’s first instructor, and that is something we will always remember fondly. On top of that, I only hear great things from friends who also train at Constrictor. And now, with the new facility, it’s even better. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Ive known and been coached by Ian for over 10 years now. He is an expert especially in the small details that make a technique work. He has a very methodical style and has a way of making the complex very simple to learn. Ive always felt extremely welcome by Ian and his students and its a safe and great environment to challenge yourself and learn jiu jitsu.
