We have used Evans landscapes 3 times in the last 8 years and each time they have done a great job, from removing a number of dead conifers and replacing them with a fence, they have also landscaped the front garden with block paving and new lawn and this time Rich has removed the old paving slabs and added another row in the back garden which has made such a difference. Rich has a fine eye for detail, and goes the extra mile, he will turn up on time give you a quote in the post and the rest is up to you, there’s no annoying phone calls chasing you for the work. Rich always gives 110%.

He was never pushy, never flustered by the work we hoped to have done, and his quote sat comfortably in the middle of all the estimates we received, not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but certainly the most reassuring. Being a local man who grew up on the very road we live on, his childhood stories alone were worth the listen.
Richard’s team were consistently respectful, polite, and reliable. They arrived on time every day, worked diligently, and always left everything clean and tidy. Their professionalism, friendliness, and trustworthiness made the working relationship effortless from start to finish.
We first approached Richard in May 2025, and he was refreshingly honest in explaining that he wouldn’t be able to begin the project until January 2026 eight months later. That honesty spoke volumes. It told us he was worth waiting for, and it gave us time to prepare our budget properly. True to his word, work began exactly on schedule.
Despite mixed weather, the team pressed on sensibly and safely. They transformed our back patio, opening up the space, creating new steps, and making it fully accessible for my wife, who has MS. Thanks to their thoughtful design and workmanship, she can now enter the garden with ease, which means more to us than they will ever know.
Throughout the project, communication was excellent. Any adjustments were discussed clearly, and every challenge was handled with calm professionalism. We were so impressed that we decided to extend the work into a second phase, continuing the pathway, adding trellis features, sleepers, and completing the garden beautifully. Although this second phase had to be booked for late July (my fault for not planning ahead), it was absolutely worth the wait. The garden now looks stunning.
Would I recommend Evans Landscapes? Not to everyone, only to good customers. Reputation works both ways, and excellent workmanship deserves clients who appreciate it. I wouldn’t put Richard’s name forward to anyone who might reflect poorly on the quality of his craft or on my recommendation.
If we choose to have any further work done in the future, we will call Richard without a moment’s hesitation. He and his team have earned our trust, our gratitude, and our highest regard.
