How to Add Reviews to Kartra: How Far Down the Funnel

Kartra is not a page builder with a checkout bolted on, it is a business platform where the pages happen to be one part. A single funnel takes somebody from a landing page through a sales page to a checkout and then into a membership area, and those four pages want four different things from you. The widget itself takes a minute. The judgement is where along that sequence proof stops helping and starts competing.
The Custom Code Component
Place a Custom Code component in the position the reviews should occupy and paste the widget embed into it. There is no mode to switch into and no escaping to work around.
Kartra sandboxes some scripts inside the builder preview, so the canvas may show nothing even when the embed is correct. The published page always renders it, which makes the live URL the check that counts.
Give it its own row or section so it can be moved between pages later without dragging surrounding content with it.
One Funnel, Four Kinds of Page
A Kartra funnel typically runs a landing or opt-in page, a sales page, a checkout, and then a members area or thank-you page. Each one has a single job and they are not the same job.
The landing page is trying to get attention and an email. The sales page is making an argument. The checkout is completing a transaction. The members area is delivering what was bought.
Social proof is an argument, which places it firmly in the first two and firmly out of the last two.
Keep It Off the Checkout
A visitor on a checkout page has already been persuaded. Everything on that page either helps them complete the purchase or gives them a reason to pause, and a review widget is a link away from the form.
This matters more on Kartra than on a platform where checkout is somebody else problem, because Kartra owns the checkout and makes it as editable as any other page. The ability to add the widget there is exactly why people do.
The same applies to the members area. Somebody who has paid and logged in is looking for the product, and testimonials in that space are noise at best.
Reusing the Block Across Pages
Kartra makes it straightforward to reuse a section across pages, which is useful and is also how a widget ends up somewhere it should not be.
Reuse it across landing and sales pages deliberately, and build the checkout from a layout that never contained it, so it cannot arrive there by inheritance.
Keep the embed line stored outside Kartra. Across a funnel with several pages you will paste it more than once, and looking it up each time is an avoidable tax.
How Do You Build the Widget?
Paste your Google, Facebook or Trustpilot profile URL, preview your real reviews and rating, then choose from over 100 layout styles across the slider, marquee, grid, list, masonry and badge families, and match the colours to the funnel theme.
A compact layout suits an opt-in page and a fuller section suits a long sales page. Building both once means each page type gets the right shape without a rebuild.
The header rating comes from the platform aggregate rather than from the cards on screen. Free plan, unlimited widget views, which matters during a launch.
Where Should the Reviews Go?
Below the headline on the opt-in page and below the offer on the sales page, in both cases immediately before the action you are asking for.
On a very long sales page, a compact rating near the top as well is defensible, because many visitors decide well before the bottom.
Nothing on the checkout and nothing in the members area. Those two rules do more for the funnel than any placement tuning on the pages above them.
