Where the Code Goes on GoDaddy

GoDaddy Websites + Marketing stores the embed code in an HTML section, found under 'Files & web' when you add a section.

Paste the code into the section's Custom Code field. The editor does not render custom HTML, so the section stays a placeholder until you publish; you always check the result on the live URL. The section runs the full width of the page like other GoDaddy sections, and it becomes as tall as the widget makes it. GoDaddy templates place the first custom section directly under the hero, which is where the widget belongs.

If the widget does not show on GoDaddy

  • Nothing in the GoDaddy editor after pasting is expected. Custom HTML renders only on the published site, so publish and open the live URL.
  • If the reviews are missing on the live page, reopen the HTML section and confirm the code sits in the Custom Code field and was saved.
  • Cannot find the HTML section? When adding a section in GoDaddy, look under 'Files & web', not under the text or image groups.
