Can an online-only business on GoDaddy show Google reviews?

No, not if it never meets customers. Google only lists businesses that meet customers in person, at a storefront or within a service area, so a shop that sells only through its GoDaddy site is not eligible for a Business Profile, and without one there are no Google reviews to show.

In that case pick a platform that reviews online businesses, such as Trustpilot. If you do meet customers, as a plumber, a salon or a clinic does, make sure the name and address on your profile match what your GoDaddy site says, so the visitor recognises the business.

Paste the code into the section's Custom Code field. The editor does not render custom HTML, so the section stays a placeholder until you publish; you always check the result on the live URL. The section runs the full width of the page like other GoDaddy sections, and it becomes as tall as the widget makes it. GoDaddy templates place the first custom section directly under the hero, which is where the widget belongs.

If the widget does not show on GoDaddy

  • Nothing in the GoDaddy editor after pasting is expected. Custom HTML renders only on the published site, so publish and open the live URL.
