Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your Google reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

The same widget, built from whichever platform your reviews live on. Free plan on every one.

How to Add Google Reviews to IONOS

One embed code, pasted into the HTML Module element. The HTML Module is not available in all IONOS MyWebsite Now plans.

  1. 1

Open your site in the IONOS MyWebsite Now editor.

  2. 2

Go to Content → Elements, click the plus sign, and choose the HTML Module.

  3. 3

Click the Code option and paste the BlooTrue embed code, then confirm the privacy settings.

  4. 4

Click Done and publish — the widget renders on the live page.

The HTML Module is not included in every MyWebsite Now plan — if you don't see it, your IONOS package may need an upgrade.

Where the Code Goes on IONOS

The IONOS MyWebsite Now editor accepts the embed code through an HTML Module, which you add from Content → Elements with the plus sign. The module has a Code option for the pasted script and asks you to confirm privacy settings before the script is allowed to run. Inside the editor the module may appear as a placeholder box; the reviews are guaranteed only on the published page. The module takes the width of the content area you drop it in, and the HTML Module is not offered in every MyWebsite Now plan.

If the widget does not show on IONOS

  • No HTML Module under Content → Elements? It is missing from some MyWebsite Now plans, so check your IONOS package before trying another element.
  • If the reviews never load, reopen the HTML Module and confirm the privacy settings prompt; an unconfirmed script is not run on the published page.
  • A blank module inside the IONOS editor is expected. Publish and load the live page to see the stars badge or review slider.

Google Review Widget for IONOS — Free, No Plugin

Embed Google reviews on any IONOS page with a single copy-paste embed code. Real Google stars are the strongest trust signal on the web. Installs via the HTML Module element. The HTML Module is not available in all IONOS MyWebsite Now plans.

Where Google reviews help most on IONOS

For a local business the IONOS site does one job: turn a search into a call or a booking. The home page is where most visitors land from a map result or from your Google listing, so the widget goes just below the hero, above the list of services. The contact page is the second spot, beside the phone number and the form, because that is where people hesitate before calling a company they found online. Service pages can carry a compact version. If you serve several towns and keep a page for each, add the widget to each town page too, since those are the pages that answer searches like plumber near me.

About Google reviews in this widget

Your Google widget shows the reviews on your Google Business Profile, and the number above the cards is the Google rating and review count as Google reports them, not an average of the cards. Anyone with a Google account can rate you from Maps or Search, no purchase needed. Google offers no review embed and the Business Profile has no widget, so pasting a Maps embed gives owners a map, not reviews. The free plan keeps the 4-star-and-up Google reviews imported at creation; a review left on Maps next week needs a paid plan's daily refresh.

Google Widget on IONOS — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue Google review widget free for IONOS?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed Google reviews on IONOS. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on IONOS?
Open your site in the IONOS MyWebsite Now editor. Go to Content → Elements, click the plus sign, and choose the HTML Module. Click the Code option and paste the BlooTrue embed code, then confirm the privacy settings. Click Done and publish — the widget renders on the live page. The HTML Module is not available in all IONOS MyWebsite Now plans.
Anything specific to IONOS worth knowing before I embed?
The HTML Module is not included in every MyWebsite Now plan — if you don't see it, your IONOS package may need an upgrade.
Where should I place Google reviews on IONOS for the biggest lift?
IONOS sites are typically local businesses — a Google-stars badge next to the phone number and a review slider above the contact form do the heavy lifting.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your Google reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching IONOS again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
Why does the rating in my Google widget not match the average of the reviews it shows?
Because the header number is what Google publishes for your Business Profile, not a figure BlooTrue works out from the cards. The free plan shows only your 4-star-and-up Google reviews, so averaging those cards would give a higher number than Google does. Keeping Google's rating and count means visitors see the figure from Maps.
Can I get an embed code for reviews from my Google Business Profile?
No. The Business Profile gives you a link for asking customers to review you, but no embed code and no widget. The BlooTrue builder finds your profile when you type the business name, city and country, then hands you a one-line embed to paste into your website with no plugin, in about a minute.
Will embedding Google reviews put star ratings under my site in Google search?
No. Google's review-snippet rules exclude reviews a business shows about itself through an embedded widget. A paid widget still emits schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD carrying your Google rating, and that markup reaches your page when the builder renders the embed inline rather than in a sandboxed iframe, so search engines and AI assistants can read your reviews as structured data.
