Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your Google reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

The same widget, built from whichever platform your reviews live on. Free plan on every one.

How to Add Google Reviews to Odoo

One embed code, pasted into the Embed Code building block.

  1. 1

Open the page in the Odoo Website editor (Edit mode).

  2. 2

Drag the Embed Code building block from the Blocks panel to where the reviews should appear.

  3. 3

Click the block, open its code editor, and paste the BlooTrue embed code.

  4. 4

Save the page — the widget renders on the published website.

Odoo may show the block frame while editing — the reviews render after you hit Save and view the page outside Edit mode.

Where the Code Goes on Odoo

Odoo's website editor keeps the embed code inside an Embed Code building block that you drag from the Blocks panel onto the page. In Edit mode you mostly see the block's frame; the reviews appear after you save and view the page outside Edit mode. The block fills the width of the column or section you drop it into, and its height follows the widget once the script has run. Odoo pages are edited one at a time, so a shop page and a service page each need their own block.

If the widget does not show on Odoo

  • Still seeing only a frame? Leave Edit mode after saving. Odoo runs the Embed Code block's script on the normal page view, not inside the editor.
  • If the block shows the code as text, you pasted into a Text block. Delete it and use the Embed Code block from the Blocks panel instead.
  • Reviews look outdated on your Odoo page? A free widget keeps its creation-time reviews; daily refresh is a paid BlooTrue feature, not an Odoo setting.

Google Review Widget for Odoo — Free, No Plugin

Embed Google reviews on any Odoo page with a single copy-paste embed code. Real Google stars are the strongest trust signal on the web. Installs via the Embed Code building block.

Where Google reviews help most on Odoo

Local businesses that sell through Odoo are usually a shop with a counter as well as a website: a bakery, a bike shop, a florist. Customers who reviewed you on Google mostly reviewed the visit, the service and the staff, not a single product, so the widget belongs on store-wide pages rather than product pages: the home page under the banner, the About page, and the page that explains delivery or local pickup. That last one matters most, because it is where a nearby buyer decides whether to trust you with an order. If a product review app already shows per-item stars, keep Google reviews off those pages so the two never get mixed up.

About Google reviews in this widget

Your Google widget shows the reviews on your Google Business Profile, and the number above the cards is the Google rating and review count as Google reports them, not an average of the cards. Anyone with a Google account can rate you from Maps or Search, no purchase needed. Google offers no review embed and the Business Profile has no widget, so pasting a Maps embed gives owners a map, not reviews. The free plan keeps the 4-star-and-up Google reviews imported at creation; a review left on Maps next week needs a paid plan's daily refresh.

Google Widget on Odoo — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue Google review widget free for Odoo?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed Google reviews on Odoo. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on Odoo?
Open the page in the Odoo Website editor (Edit mode). Drag the Embed Code building block from the Blocks panel to where the reviews should appear. Click the block, open its code editor, and paste the BlooTrue embed code. Save the page — the widget renders on the published website.
Anything specific to Odoo worth knowing before I embed?
Odoo may show the block frame while editing — the reviews render after you hit Save and view the page outside Edit mode.
Where should I place Google reviews on Odoo for the biggest lift?
Shop and service pages near the add-to-cart or contact CTA — review proof where Odoo's default themes have none.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your Google reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching Odoo again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
Why does the rating in my Google widget not match the average of the reviews it shows?
Because the header number is what Google publishes for your Business Profile, not a figure BlooTrue works out from the cards. The free plan shows only your 4-star-and-up Google reviews, so averaging those cards would give a higher number than Google does. Keeping Google's rating and count means visitors see the figure from Maps.
Can I get an embed code for reviews from my Google Business Profile?
No. The Business Profile gives you a link for asking customers to review you, but no embed code and no widget. The BlooTrue builder finds your profile when you type the business name, city and country, then hands you a one-line embed to paste into your website with no plugin, in about a minute.
Will embedding Google reviews put star ratings under my site in Google search?
No. Google's review-snippet rules exclude reviews a business shows about itself through an embedded widget. A paid widget still emits schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD carrying your Google rating, and that markup reaches your page when the builder renders the embed inline rather than in a sandboxed iframe, so search engines and AI assistants can read your reviews as structured data.
