Webnode is a simple builder used by small businesses in many countries, from guesthouses and driving schools to small online shops. Google reviews are the natural choice for some of those sites and the wrong one for others. The deciding question is whether your customers ever meet you in person.

Can an online-only Webnode shop show Google reviews?

No. Google lists a business only if it meets customers in person, at a storefront or across a service area, so a shop that sells only online cannot have a Business Profile to show.

For a purely online Webnode shop, pick a source where online buyers leave reviews, such as Trustpilot or a marketplace you also sell on. If you also have a counter, a studio or a service area, the Google widget fits.

Can my Webnode site also ask customers for Google reviews?

Yes: add a short text link or button under the widget that opens the review link Google gives your Business Profile.

How to Add Google Reviews to Webnode

Connect your Google profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the HTML block on Webnode and publish. The HTML/embed block requires a paid Webnode plan (Standard or higher).

Where the Code Goes on Webnode

Webnode places embeds in an HTML block that you add with the + button between existing content blocks.

The block is a code field rather than a live element, so the editor often shows an empty area where it sits and reviews appear only once you publish. It spans the content column and takes its height from the widget on the published page. Webnode publishes the entire site with one Publish click, so unpublished edits on other pages go live together with the block. Put one under the opening homepage paragraph and another above the contact form.

If the widget does not show on Webnode

  • An empty space in the Webnode editor where the HTML block sits is normal. Publish the site and check the live page instead.
  • If the HTML block is missing from the + menu, your Webnode plan is below Standard. The block is a paid-plan feature.
  • Code pasted into a regular text block appears as plain characters on Webnode. Delete it there and paste into an HTML block added with +.

For a local business the Webnode site does one job: turn a search into a call or a booking.

The home page is where most visitors land from a map result or from your Google listing, so the widget goes just below the hero, above the list of services. The contact page is the second spot, beside the phone number and the form, because that is where people hesitate before calling a company they found online. Service pages can carry a compact version. If you serve several towns and keep a page for each, add the widget to each town page too, since those are the pages that answer searches like plumber near me.

About Google reviews in this widget

Your Google widget shows the reviews on your Google Business Profile, and the number above the cards is the Google rating and review count as Google reports them, not an average of the cards. Anyone with a Google account can rate you from Maps or Search, no purchase needed. Google offers no review embed and the Business Profile has no widget, so pasting a Maps embed gives owners a map, not reviews. The free plan keeps the 4-star-and-up Google reviews imported at creation; a review left on Maps next week needs a paid plan's daily refresh.
