Indeed employee reviews through an iframe embed

Hiring pages often live on systems you do not fully control: a hosted job board, an HR portal behind a login, an old CMS that strips scripts. The iframe version of an Indeed widget exists for those pages, and it brings a couple of practical decisions that a normal script embed never raises.

When is the iframe version right for Indeed reviews?

Use it when the page holding your job listings refuses script tags but still accepts raw HTML. Everything inside the frame comes from BlooTrue, so your Indeed rating and employee reviews appear without any script running on the host page.

If the same careers content also lives on your main site, use the script embed there and keep the iframe for the restricted system. Both show the rating and review count from your Indeed company page as Indeed states them, so candidates meet one figure wherever they read.

How tall should the Indeed iframe be?

Tall enough for every review you configured, because an iframe never grows to fit its content and a short one hides reviews behind an inner scrollbar. Employee reviews can run to several paragraphs, so test with your longest one.

Test at phone width too, since text wraps onto more lines there. If the frame stays blank on a corporate portal, its Content Security Policy probably lacks the BlooTrue origin in frame-src; on most company systems that is a request to IT, not a setting you change yourself.

SEO + AI schema · paid plans

Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your Indeed reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

The same widget, built from whichever platform your reviews live on. Free plan on every one.

How to Add Indeed Reviews to iFrame

Connect your Indeed profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the plain iframe snippet on iFrame and publish.

  1. 1

Copy the iframe variant of your embed code from the BlooTrue embed panel.

  2. 2

Open the HTML of the target page in your editor of choice.

  3. 3

Paste the iframe where the reviews should appear.

  4. 4

Save/deploy the page — the widget renders inside the iframe.

The iframe variant needs no script permissions at all — it works even on platforms that strip script tags.

Where the Code Goes on iFrame

The iframe variant is for any page where you control the raw HTML but cannot run scripts: a legacy CMS that strips script tags, an intranet page, a portal behind a login.

Copy the iframe snippet from the BlooTrue embed panel, open the page source and paste it where the reviews belong. The frame loads the widget from BlooTrue's domain, so the host page needs no script permission, though a strict Content Security Policy must allow that origin in frame-src. An iframe does not size to its content; set width and height yourself, or the reviews get an inner scrollbar.

If the widget does not show on iFrame

  • Blank frame on a site with a strict Content Security Policy: add the BlooTrue origin to frame-src or the browser blocks the iframe.
  • If only part of the reviews shows with an inner scrollbar, the iframe height is fixed too low. Raise the height attribute.
  • When your CMS turns the iframe into an escaped string, paste it in a raw HTML or source view rather than the WYSIWYG editor.

Still blank? Our help article Widget not showing covers the checks that apply on every site.

Indeed Review Widget for iFrame — Free, No Plugin

Embed Indeed reviews on any iFrame page with a single copy-paste embed code. Indeed company reviews, on the pages candidates actually read. Installs via the plain iframe snippet.

Where Indeed reviews help most on iFrame

A custom careers site or applicant portal usually has two templates: the careers landing page and the job detail page.

Put the Indeed widget on the landing page under the introduction, and a compact version on the job detail template beside the Apply button. Leave it off the application steps themselves, which should stay short so candidates finish them. If job pages are generated from an applicant tracking system feed, add the widget to the template once, so every role shows it the moment it is published, and it disappears when the role closes.

About Indeed reviews in this widget

An Indeed widget shows the company reviews from your Indeed company page, with the rating out of 5 and review count Indeed displays there in the header. Indeed company reviews are written by current and former employees about pay, management and the working day, which makes them a hiring asset rather than a sales one. Site owners go wrong by placing them next to customer testimonials on the homepage, where a review about shift patterns confuses buyers. Put the widget on your job and careers pages instead, where readers are the people Indeed's reviewers are addressing.

Indeed Widget on iFrame — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue Indeed review widget free for iFrame?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed Indeed reviews on iFrame. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on iFrame?
Copy the iframe variant of your embed code from the BlooTrue embed panel. Open the HTML of the target page in your editor of choice. Paste the iframe where the reviews should appear. Save/deploy the page — the widget renders inside the iframe.
Anything specific to iFrame worth knowing before I embed?
The iframe variant needs no script permissions at all — it works even on platforms that strip script tags.
Where should I place Indeed reviews on iFrame for the biggest lift?
Anywhere raw HTML works — email-gated portals, legacy CMSes, intranet pages.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your Indeed reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching iFrame again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
Where is the Indeed URL that the builder asks for?
It is your company page on Indeed, in the form indeed.com/cmp/Your-Company, and the Reviews tab of that page is where employees post. The widget reads the rating and the reviews from that page, so paste the company page address, not a job posting, which carries no reviews of its own.
Will the widget show the same rating as my Indeed company page?
Yes. The header repeats the rating out of 5 and the review count from your Indeed company page as Indeed states them; BlooTrue never recalculates them from the employee reviews it lists. On the free plan the figure is the one captured when the widget was made, so it trails Indeed until you upgrade.
I have several open roles on my site, can the Indeed widget go on every job page?
Yes. The free plan gives you one Indeed widget, but its one-line embed can be pasted into every job page, and views are unlimited, so each page shows the same company rating and employee reviews from Indeed. If you later want the BlooTrue badge gone and daily refresh from Indeed, that is a paid plan.
