Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your Capterra reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

The same widget, built from whichever platform your reviews live on. Free plan on every one.

How to Add Capterra Reviews to iFrame

Connect your Capterra profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the plain iframe snippet on iFrame and publish.

  1. 1

Copy the iframe variant of your embed code from the BlooTrue embed panel.

  2. 2

Open the HTML of the target page in your editor of choice.

  3. 3

Paste the iframe where the reviews should appear.

  4. 4

Save/deploy the page — the widget renders inside the iframe.

The iframe variant needs no script permissions at all — it works even on platforms that strip script tags.

Where the Code Goes on iFrame

The iframe variant is for any page where you control the raw HTML but cannot run scripts: a legacy CMS that strips script tags, an intranet page, a portal behind a login.

Copy the iframe snippet from the BlooTrue embed panel, open the page source and paste it where the reviews belong. The frame loads the widget from BlooTrue's domain, so the host page needs no script permission, though a strict Content Security Policy must allow that origin in frame-src. An iframe does not size to its content; set width and height yourself, or the reviews get an inner scrollbar.

If the widget does not show on iFrame

  • Blank frame on a site with a strict Content Security Policy: add the BlooTrue origin to frame-src or the browser blocks the iframe.
  • If only part of the reviews shows with an inner scrollbar, the iframe height is fixed too low. Raise the height attribute.
  • When your CMS turns the iframe into an escaped string, paste it in a raw HTML or source view rather than the WYSIWYG editor.

Still blank? Our help article Widget not showing covers the checks that apply on every site.

Capterra Review Widget for iFrame — Free, No Plugin

Embed Capterra reviews on any iFrame page with a single copy-paste embed code. Capterra software reviews, embedded where buyers compare and decide. Installs via the plain iframe snippet.

Where Capterra reviews help most on iFrame

Software companies with a custom-built marketing site tend to put the Capterra widget in three places: the home page below the hero, the pricing page above the plans, and the sign-up page beside the form.

The sign-up page is the one teams forget, and it is where a visitor about to create an account has one last doubt. Keep the widget out of the product itself; logged-in users do not need to be sold to again. Give it a container with a sensible maximum width so it does not stretch across a wide pricing layout, and match its theme to the site's light or dark mode.

About Capterra reviews in this widget

The Capterra widget brings the reviews from your Capterra product listing to your pages, with the rating out of 5 and review count Capterra publishes in the header. Software buyers use Capterra, a Gartner company, to build shortlists, so put the widget on the pages where they compare you. Capterra checks each review before publishing it. What site owners get wrong is reading the header as an average of the reviews on the page. It is Capterra's own figure and counts every review, including lower-rated ones a free widget leaves out.

Capterra Widget on iFrame — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue Capterra review widget free for iFrame?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed Capterra reviews on iFrame. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on iFrame?
Copy the iframe variant of your embed code from the BlooTrue embed panel. Open the HTML of the target page in your editor of choice. Paste the iframe where the reviews should appear. Save/deploy the page — the widget renders inside the iframe.
Anything specific to iFrame worth knowing before I embed?
The iframe variant needs no script permissions at all — it works even on platforms that strip script tags.
Where should I place Capterra reviews on iFrame for the biggest lift?
Anywhere raw HTML works — email-gated portals, legacy CMSes, intranet pages.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your Capterra reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching iFrame again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
What do I paste into the builder to pull my Capterra reviews?
The address of your product listing on Capterra, which takes the form capterra.com/p/ followed by a number and your product name. The builder reads the rating, review count and reviews from that listing. Pick a layout, copy the one-line embed and paste it into your comparison page; the whole thing takes about a minute.
I already display a Capterra badge, why would I add a widget?
Because the badge is an image. It shows no review content, none of the words reviewers wrote about your software, and no count of how many wrote them. The widget lists the reviews from your Capterra listing, so a buyer on your comparison page reads what other buyers said without leaving for Capterra.
Will my Capterra rating appear as stars under my page in Google search results?
No. Google's review-snippet rules exclude reviews a business shows about itself through an embedded widget. Paid plans still add schema.org Review and AggregateRating markup as JSON-LD carrying your Capterra rating and review count, which search engines and AI assistants can read when the embed renders inline on your page; if the embed sits in a sandboxed iframe, they never see it.
