Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your Capterra reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

The same widget, built from whichever platform your reviews live on. Free plan on every one.

How to Add Capterra Reviews to Google Sites

Connect your Capterra profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the Embed code block on Google Sites and publish.

  1. 1

Open your site in new Google Sites.

  2. 2

Choose Insert → Embed → Embed code.

  3. 3

Paste the BlooTrue embed code and click Next → Insert.

  4. 4

Publish the site — the widget renders inside the embed frame.

Google Sites sandboxes embeds in an iframe of fixed size — drag the embed's frame taller if reviews look clipped.

Where the Code Goes on Google Sites

In new Google Sites the embed code is added through Insert, then Embed, then the Embed code tab, and after Next and Insert it becomes a block on the page.

Google Sites runs every embed inside a sandboxed iframe of fixed size, so the block does not grow with the reviews; drag the frame's handles taller if the bottom of the widget is clipped. The frame shows a preview of the rendered widget in the editor. Because the widget lives in that iframe, nothing it adds, including structured data, is part of the host page's DOM.

If the widget does not show on Google Sites

  • If the bottom of the widget is cut off, click the embed block and drag its lower handle to make the frame taller.
  • If the embed shows a scrollbar, the iframe is shorter than the reviews; enlarge the frame instead of expecting it to grow.
  • If visitors see the old version, click Publish again; Google Sites keeps edits unpublished until you do.

Capterra Review Widget for Google Sites — Free, No Plugin

Embed Capterra reviews on any Google Sites page with a single copy-paste embed code. Capterra software reviews, embedded where buyers compare and decide. Installs via the Embed code block.

Where Capterra reviews help most on Google Sites

A software company on Google Sites is usually an early-stage team with a marketing site: home, features, pricing, maybe a comparison page.

Put the Capterra widget under the hero on the home page, and on the pricing page above the plan cards, where buyers stop to decide whether the product is worth the money. A comparison page against a competitor is the third spot, since Capterra is where buyers go to check such comparisons, and showing your reviews there saves them the trip. On the features page a compact badge is enough; that page is about what the product does, and the proof can stay small.

About Capterra reviews in this widget

The Capterra widget brings the reviews from your Capterra product listing to your pages, with the rating out of 5 and review count Capterra publishes in the header. Software buyers use Capterra, a Gartner company, to build shortlists, so put the widget on the pages where they compare you. Capterra checks each review before publishing it. What site owners get wrong is reading the header as an average of the reviews on the page. It is Capterra's own figure and counts every review, including lower-rated ones a free widget leaves out.

Capterra Widget on Google Sites — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue Capterra review widget free for Google Sites?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed Capterra reviews on Google Sites. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on Google Sites?
Open your site in new Google Sites. Choose Insert → Embed → Embed code. Paste the BlooTrue embed code and click Next → Insert. Publish the site — the widget renders inside the embed frame.
Anything specific to Google Sites worth knowing before I embed?
Google Sites sandboxes embeds in an iframe of fixed size — drag the embed's frame taller if reviews look clipped.
Where should I place Capterra reviews on Google Sites for the biggest lift?
The homepage banner area and a dedicated Reviews page in the top navigation.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your Capterra reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching Google Sites again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
What do I paste into the builder to pull my Capterra reviews?
The address of your product listing on Capterra, which takes the form capterra.com/p/ followed by a number and your product name. The builder reads the rating, review count and reviews from that listing. Pick a layout, copy the one-line embed and paste it into your comparison page; the whole thing takes about a minute.
I already display a Capterra badge, why would I add a widget?
Because the badge is an image. It shows no review content, none of the words reviewers wrote about your software, and no count of how many wrote them. The widget lists the reviews from your Capterra listing, so a buyer on your comparison page reads what other buyers said without leaving for Capterra.
Will my Capterra rating appear as stars under my page in Google search results?
No. Google's review-snippet rules exclude reviews a business shows about itself through an embedded widget. Paid plans still add schema.org Review and AggregateRating markup as JSON-LD carrying your Capterra rating and review count, which search engines and AI assistants can read when the embed renders inline on your page; if the embed sits in a sandboxed iframe, they never see it.
