Google Sites is free and quick, which is why small brands often use it as a front door that points to a shop elsewhere. Trustpilot fits that setup because its reviews are about buying from you. The Google Sites part needs attention in two places: how much room the embed gets, and when your changes actually reach visitors.

Is a separate Reviews page worth adding on Google Sites?

Yes, once your Trustpilot profile has more reviews than a homepage strip can hold. A Reviews page in the top navigation gives a doubtful visitor one obvious place to read them, while the homepage keeps a short frame.

Check that page on a phone after publishing. The cards stack into one column on narrow screens, so the same reviews need far more height there, and an embed frame sized on a laptop can clip them. Drag the frame taller until the last review shows in full.

Why do visitors still see my old Trustpilot widget on Google Sites?

Because Google Sites keeps your edits unpublished until you click Publish again. If you swapped the embed code or resized the frame, visitors see the previous version until you do.

Where the Code Goes on Google Sites

In new Google Sites the embed code is added through Insert, then Embed, then the Embed code tab, and after Next and Insert it becomes a block on the page.

Google Sites runs every embed inside a sandboxed iframe of fixed size, so the block does not grow with the reviews; drag the frame's handles taller if the bottom of the widget is clipped. The frame shows a preview of the rendered widget in the editor. Because the widget lives in that iframe, nothing it adds, including structured data, is part of the host page's DOM.

If the widget does not show on Google Sites

  • If the bottom of the widget is cut off, click the embed block and drag its lower handle to make the frame taller.
  • If the embed shows a scrollbar, the iframe is shorter than the reviews; enlarge the frame instead of expecting it to grow.
  • If visitors see the old version, click Publish again; Google Sites keeps edits unpublished until you do.
