Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your Glassdoor reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

The same widget, built from whichever platform your reviews live on. Free plan on every one.

How to Add Glassdoor Reviews to Google Sites

Connect your Glassdoor profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the Embed code block on Google Sites and publish.

  1. 1

Open your site in new Google Sites.

  2. 2

Choose Insert → Embed → Embed code.

  3. 3

Paste the BlooTrue embed code and click Next → Insert.

  4. 4

Publish the site — the widget renders inside the embed frame.

Google Sites sandboxes embeds in an iframe of fixed size — drag the embed's frame taller if reviews look clipped.

Where the Code Goes on Google Sites

In new Google Sites the embed code is added through Insert, then Embed, then the Embed code tab, and after Next and Insert it becomes a block on the page.

Google Sites runs every embed inside a sandboxed iframe of fixed size, so the block does not grow with the reviews; drag the frame's handles taller if the bottom of the widget is clipped. The frame shows a preview of the rendered widget in the editor. Because the widget lives in that iframe, nothing it adds, including structured data, is part of the host page's DOM.

If the widget does not show on Google Sites

  • If the bottom of the widget is cut off, click the embed block and drag its lower handle to make the frame taller.
  • If the embed shows a scrollbar, the iframe is shorter than the reviews; enlarge the frame instead of expecting it to grow.
  • If visitors see the old version, click Publish again; Google Sites keeps edits unpublished until you do.

Where Glassdoor reviews help most on Google Sites

On a company site built with Google Sites, Glassdoor reviews belong on the careers page, above or beside the list of open roles.

Applicants look for honest accounts of working there, and a widget with reviews from staff answers that before they leave to search for it. The About page can carry a compact version, especially for companies that make their culture part of the pitch to customers too. Keep the home page for customers. If each role has its own page, a compact badge near the Apply button on each one is enough to carry the proof into the application.

About Glassdoor reviews in this widget

The Glassdoor widget puts your Glassdoor employer rating and the reviews behind it on your careers and hiring pages, where candidates check before applying. The header is the employer rating out of 5 and review count read from Glassdoor, never worked out from the reviews on show. Those reviews are written by current and former employees, not customers, so the widget shows what working for you is like. Employers get one thing wrong: assuming they need Glassdoor's paid employer products before embedding their rating. You do not; the builder reads your public Glassdoor company page.

Glassdoor Widget on Google Sites — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue Glassdoor review widget free for Google Sites?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed Glassdoor reviews on Google Sites. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on Google Sites?
Open your site in new Google Sites. Choose Insert → Embed → Embed code. Paste the BlooTrue embed code and click Next → Insert. Publish the site — the widget renders inside the embed frame.
Anything specific to Google Sites worth knowing before I embed?
Google Sites sandboxes embeds in an iframe of fixed size — drag the embed's frame taller if reviews look clipped.
Where should I place Glassdoor reviews on Google Sites for the biggest lift?
The homepage banner area and a dedicated Reviews page in the top navigation.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your Glassdoor reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching Google Sites again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
How do I get my Glassdoor employer rating onto the careers page of my own site?
Paste your Glassdoor company profile URL into the BlooTrue builder, choose a layout and copy the one-line embed into the careers page; it takes about a minute and installs nothing. The widget shows the employer rating Glassdoor gives you, out of 5, with employee reviews beneath it, so candidates see it without leaving your site.
Do bad Glassdoor reviews from former employees appear in the widget?
Not on the free plan, which lists only your Glassdoor reviews rated four stars or higher. The header is different: it shows the employer rating Glassdoor calculates from every review, so a 3.6 on Glassdoor reads 3.6 in the widget even though the low-rated reviews are absent from the list.
Someone posted a new Glassdoor review, does my widget change?
Only on paid plans, which re-read your Glassdoor profile once a day and add reviews Glassdoor has published since. A free widget keeps the employee reviews and the employer rating captured when you created it, so a review posted in May stays off a free widget you built in April.
