Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your Glassdoor reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

The same widget, built from whichever platform your reviews live on. Free plan on every one.

How to Add Glassdoor Reviews to Ecwid

Connect your Glassdoor profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the custom code section on Ecwid and publish.

  1. 1

Open your Ecwid Instant Site editor.

  2. 2

Add a section and choose Custom code (or edit an existing section's code slot).

  3. 3

    Paste the BlooTrue embed code.

  4. 4

Publish — the widget renders on the live Instant Site.

Inside another platform (Ecwid-in-WordPress etc.), paste the code into the host page instead of the Ecwid store widget.

Where the Code Goes on Ecwid

On Ecwid's Instant Site the embed goes into a section of the Custom code type, added from the section list, or into the code slot of an existing section.

The section is a full-width row that takes its height from the widget once published; the editor preview may show it collapsed until then. Place it right above the store section so shoppers see reviews before the product grid. If your Ecwid store is embedded in WordPress or Wix, Instant Site sections never appear there, so paste the code into the host page beside the store widget instead.

If the widget does not show on Ecwid

  • Widget missing on your WordPress or Wix store page: the Instant Site is not what visitors see there. Paste the code into the host page.
  • If the Custom code section stays collapsed in the editor, publish and check the live Instant Site; the section expands to the widget height.
  • Code pasted into a regular text section of the Instant Site shows as characters, not reviews. Move it into a Custom code section and publish again.

Still blank? Our help article Widget not showing covers the checks that apply on every site.

Where Glassdoor reviews help most on Ecwid

Employer reviews from Glassdoor speak to job seekers, not shoppers, so on your Ecwid store they do not belong on product pages.

The right place is a careers or Work with us page, if the store has one, and the About page, where some visitors look for who is behind the brand. Staff reviews describing a decent employer can support a brand story about how products are made and by whom. Keep them off the cart and checkout completely. If the store has no careers page yet, create one before adding the widget, since that is the page applicants will look for first.

About Glassdoor reviews in this widget

The Glassdoor widget puts your Glassdoor employer rating and the reviews behind it on your careers and hiring pages, where candidates check before applying. The header is the employer rating out of 5 and review count read from Glassdoor, never worked out from the reviews on show. Those reviews are written by current and former employees, not customers, so the widget shows what working for you is like. Employers get one thing wrong: assuming they need Glassdoor's paid employer products before embedding their rating. You do not; the builder reads your public Glassdoor company page.

Glassdoor Widget on Ecwid — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue Glassdoor review widget free for Ecwid?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed Glassdoor reviews on Ecwid. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on Ecwid?
Open your Ecwid Instant Site editor. Add a section and choose Custom code (or edit an existing section's code slot). Paste the BlooTrue embed code. Publish — the widget renders on the live Instant Site.
Anything specific to Ecwid worth knowing before I embed?
Inside another platform (Ecwid-in-WordPress etc.), paste the code into the host page instead of the Ecwid store widget.
Where should I place Glassdoor reviews on Ecwid for the biggest lift?
The Instant Site's About section, directly above the store section.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your Glassdoor reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching Ecwid again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
How do I get my Glassdoor employer rating onto the careers page of my own site?
Paste your Glassdoor company profile URL into the BlooTrue builder, choose a layout and copy the one-line embed into the careers page; it takes about a minute and installs nothing. The widget shows the employer rating Glassdoor gives you, out of 5, with employee reviews beneath it, so candidates see it without leaving your site.
Do bad Glassdoor reviews from former employees appear in the widget?
Not on the free plan, which lists only your Glassdoor reviews rated four stars or higher. The header is different: it shows the employer rating Glassdoor calculates from every review, so a 3.6 on Glassdoor reads 3.6 in the widget even though the low-rated reviews are absent from the list.
Someone posted a new Glassdoor review, does my widget change?
Only on paid plans, which re-read your Glassdoor profile once a day and add reviews Glassdoor has published since. A free widget keeps the employee reviews and the employer rating captured when you created it, so a review posted in May stays off a free widget you built in April.
