Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your Glassdoor reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

The same widget, built from whichever platform your reviews live on. Free plan on every one.

How to Add Glassdoor Reviews to Shopify

Connect your Glassdoor profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the Custom Liquid section on Shopify and publish.

  1. 1

Open your theme in the Shopify admin (Online Store → Themes → Customize).

  2. 2

On the page, click Add section (or Add block) and choose Custom Liquid.

  3. 3

Paste the BlooTrue embed code into the Custom Liquid field.

  4. 4

Save — the widget renders on the live storefront.

Paste into Custom Liquid, not a Rich Text section — rich text strips script tags. Older vintage themes can use an HTML section or the page's Show HTML editor view.

Where the Code Goes on Shopify

On Shopify the embed code belongs in a Custom Liquid section or block, added through Online Store → Themes → Customize.

The Customize preview usually executes the script, so you tend to see the reviews before you save. The section spans the page width your theme sets, and the widget's own height decides how tall it gets. Do not use a Rich Text section, because Shopify strips script tags from it. Older vintage themes without Custom Liquid can use an HTML section or the page's Show HTML editor view in the admin.

If the widget does not show on Shopify

  • If the reviews are missing, check that you used Custom Liquid. A Rich Text section removes the script tag and leaves nothing to render.
  • On a vintage theme with no Custom Liquid option, add an HTML section, or open the page in Shopify admin and use the Show HTML view.
  • Widget on the homepage but not on products? Custom Liquid sections are per template, so add another one to the product template under the buy box.

Glassdoor Review Widget for Shopify — Free, No Plugin

Embed Glassdoor reviews on any Shopify page with a single copy-paste embed code. Show your Glassdoor employer rating on your careers and hiring pages. Installs via the Custom Liquid section.

Where Glassdoor reviews help most on Shopify

Employer reviews from Glassdoor speak to job seekers, not shoppers, so on your Shopify store they do not belong on product pages.

The right place is a careers or Work with us page, if the store has one, and the About page, where some visitors look for who is behind the brand. Staff reviews describing a decent employer can support a brand story about how products are made and by whom. Keep them off the cart and checkout completely. If the store has no careers page yet, create one before adding the widget, since that is the page applicants will look for first.

About Glassdoor reviews in this widget

The Glassdoor widget puts your Glassdoor employer rating and the reviews behind it on your careers and hiring pages, where candidates check before applying. The header is the employer rating out of 5 and review count read from Glassdoor, never worked out from the reviews on show. Those reviews are written by current and former employees, not customers, so the widget shows what working for you is like. Employers get one thing wrong: assuming they need Glassdoor's paid employer products before embedding their rating. You do not; the builder reads your public Glassdoor company page.

Glassdoor Widget on Shopify — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue Glassdoor review widget free for Shopify?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed Glassdoor reviews on Shopify. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on Shopify?
Open your theme in the Shopify admin (Online Store → Themes → Customize). On the page, click Add section (or Add block) and choose Custom Liquid. Paste the BlooTrue embed code into the Custom Liquid field. Save — the widget renders on the live storefront.
Anything specific to Shopify worth knowing before I embed?
Paste into Custom Liquid, not a Rich Text section — rich text strips script tags. Older vintage themes can use an HTML section or the page's Show HTML editor view.
Where should I place Glassdoor reviews on Shopify for the biggest lift?
Product pages under the buy box and the homepage below the featured collection — third-party stars at the add-to-cart moment.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your Glassdoor reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching Shopify again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
How do I get my Glassdoor employer rating onto the careers page of my own site?
Paste your Glassdoor company profile URL into the BlooTrue builder, choose a layout and copy the one-line embed into the careers page; it takes about a minute and installs nothing. The widget shows the employer rating Glassdoor gives you, out of 5, with employee reviews beneath it, so candidates see it without leaving your site.
Do bad Glassdoor reviews from former employees appear in the widget?
Not on the free plan, which lists only your Glassdoor reviews rated four stars or higher. The header is different: it shows the employer rating Glassdoor calculates from every review, so a 3.6 on Glassdoor reads 3.6 in the widget even though the low-rated reviews are absent from the list.
Someone posted a new Glassdoor review, does my widget change?
Only on paid plans, which re-read your Glassdoor profile once a day and add reviews Glassdoor has published since. A free widget keeps the employee reviews and the employer rating captured when you created it, so a review posted in May stays off a free widget you built in April.
