How it installs on Google Sites

  1. 1

Open your site in new Google Sites.

  2. 2

Choose Insert → Embed → Embed code.

  3. 3

Paste the BlooTrue embed code and click Next → Insert.

  4. 4

Publish the site — the widget renders inside the embed frame.

Where the code goes on Google Sites

In new Google Sites the embed code is added through Insert, then Embed, then the Embed code tab, and after Next and Insert it becomes a block on the page. Google Sites runs every embed inside a sandboxed iframe of fixed size, so the block does not grow with the reviews; drag the frame's handles taller if the bottom of the widget is clipped. The frame shows a preview of the rendered widget in the editor. Because the widget lives in that iframe, nothing it adds, including structured data, is part of the host page's DOM.

Where reviews earn their place on a Google Sites site

The homepage banner area and a dedicated Reviews page in the top navigation.

If the widget does not show on Google Sites

  • If the bottom of the widget is cut off, click the embed block and drag its lower handle to make the frame taller.
  • If the embed shows a scrollbar, the iframe is shorter than the reviews; enlarge the frame instead of expecting it to grow.
  • If visitors see the old version, click Publish again; Google Sites keeps edits unpublished until you do.

Google Sites Review Widgets — FAQ

Is there a free review widget for Google Sites?
Yes — BlooTrue embeds Google, Facebook, Trustpilot, Yelp, TripAdvisor, G2, Capterra, Airbnb, Booking.com or any of 21 review platforms on Google Sites for free. Insert → Embed → Embed code on the new Google Sites. No plugin, no view caps.
Which review platforms can I show on Google Sites?
21 platforms: Google, Trustpilot, Yelp, Facebook, TripAdvisor, Airbnb, Angi, Glassdoor, Agoda, BBB, OpenTable, RateMDs, Capterra, G2, Indeed, TrustRadius, Clutch, Expedia, Booking.com, Etsy, Google Play — each with its own Google Sites install guide. Starter ($9/month) blends its 3 connected platforms into one all-in-one widget, and Pro ($29/month) and higher blend every platform you connect.
Do I need a Google Sites plugin or app?
No. BlooTrue is a pure HTML embed — one line of code pasted into the Google Sites editor. Insert → Embed → Embed code on the new Google Sites.
Can I embed a review widget in new Google Sites?
Yes. Use Insert, then Embed, and switch to the Embed code tab. Paste the BlooTrue snippet, click Next, then Insert. The widget lands as a block you can move and resize on the page. Classic Google Sites is retired, so this applies to the current version of Google Sites only.
Why do my embedded reviews on Google Sites have a scrollbar?
Google Sites places embedded code inside an iframe with a fixed height that does not expand with its content. When the reviews are taller than the frame, the iframe scrolls internally. Select the embed block and drag its handles until the frame is taller than the widget, then publish.
Does a Google Sites embed appear the same on mobile?
Google Sites scales the page layout for mobile, but the embed frame keeps a fixed height, so a review layout that wraps to a single column on narrow screens may need extra height. Check the published site on a phone and enlarge the frame if the reviews are clipped.
