Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your G2 reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

The same widget, built from whichever platform your reviews live on. Free plan on every one.

How to Add G2 Reviews to Google Sites

Connect your G2 profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the Embed code block on Google Sites and publish.

  1. 1

Open your site in new Google Sites.

  2. 2

Choose Insert → Embed → Embed code.

  3. 3

Paste the BlooTrue embed code and click Next → Insert.

  4. 4

Publish the site — the widget renders inside the embed frame.

Google Sites sandboxes embeds in an iframe of fixed size — drag the embed's frame taller if reviews look clipped.

Where the Code Goes on Google Sites

In new Google Sites the embed code is added through Insert, then Embed, then the Embed code tab, and after Next and Insert it becomes a block on the page.

Google Sites runs every embed inside a sandboxed iframe of fixed size, so the block does not grow with the reviews; drag the frame's handles taller if the bottom of the widget is clipped. The frame shows a preview of the rendered widget in the editor. Because the widget lives in that iframe, nothing it adds, including structured data, is part of the host page's DOM.

If the widget does not show on Google Sites

  • If the bottom of the widget is cut off, click the embed block and drag its lower handle to make the frame taller.
  • If the embed shows a scrollbar, the iframe is shorter than the reviews; enlarge the frame instead of expecting it to grow.
  • If visitors see the old version, click Publish again; Google Sites keeps edits unpublished until you do.

Where G2 reviews help most on Google Sites

A software company on Google Sites is usually an early-stage team with a marketing site: home, features, pricing, maybe a comparison page.

Put the G2 widget under the hero on the home page, and on the pricing page above the plan cards, where buyers stop to decide whether the product is worth the money. A comparison page against a competitor is the third spot, since G2 is where buyers go to check such comparisons, and showing your reviews there saves them the trip. On the features page a compact badge is enough; that page is about what the product does, and the proof can stay small.

About G2 reviews in this widget

Your G2 widget lists the reviews from your G2 product profile and puts the star rating and review count G2 reports for that profile in the header. Both figures are read from G2, not averaged from the reviews on the page. G2 verifies the people who leave those ratings, which is why software buyers check them before booking a demo. The mistake to avoid is treating a G2 badge as an embed. G2 badges are image files with no review text behind them, so a visitor learns nothing beyond the logo. The widget shows the reviews themselves.

G2 Widget on Google Sites — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue G2 review widget free for Google Sites?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed G2 reviews on Google Sites. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on Google Sites?
Open your site in new Google Sites. Choose Insert → Embed → Embed code. Paste the BlooTrue embed code and click Next → Insert. Publish the site — the widget renders inside the embed frame.
Anything specific to Google Sites worth knowing before I embed?
Google Sites sandboxes embeds in an iframe of fixed size — drag the embed's frame taller if reviews look clipped.
Where should I place G2 reviews on Google Sites for the biggest lift?
The homepage banner area and a dedicated Reviews page in the top navigation.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your G2 reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching Google Sites again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
We have two products listed on G2, can each one get its own widget?
Each widget reads one G2 product profile, the page at g2.com/products/your-product/reviews, so two products means two widgets with two URLs. The free plan includes a single widget, so start with the product your site promotes most; the header will carry that product's own G2 rating and review count.
Which number sits at the top of the G2 widget?
The star rating and review count from your G2 product profile, as G2 publishes them. BlooTrue does not build a new average from the G2 reviews it displays. Since the free plan lists only your G2 reviews of four stars and up, the header can read lower than the reviews under it, because G2 counts the lower ratings too.
What do I give up by using the free plan for G2 reviews?
Two things. A small BlooTrue badge appears on the widget, and the widget keeps the G2 reviews present when you created it rather than fetching new ones. There is no card to enter and no view limit. Paid plans remove the badge and check your G2 profile every day for reviews added since.
