G2 reviews on a Carrd launch page

Carrd is a common choice for a software product's first page: one column, one message, one form. G2 reviews give that page outside proof, but on Carrd you pay for the element that holds them, and a single page means a single spot. Both choices are easier with a clear idea of what the free BlooTrue plan covers.

Where should G2 reviews go on a Carrd page that ends in a form?

Directly above the form. Carrd stacks elements in one column, so the widget takes the form's width and reads as part of the sign-up, right where a visitor decides whether to type a work email.

Is a G2 widget on Carrd worth upgrading the Carrd plan for?

If G2 reviews are your strongest proof, yes. The Embed element needs Pro Standard or higher, while the BlooTrue widget can stay on its free plan with one widget and unlimited views.

One widget is enough for one page. What you accept on the free plan is a small BlooTrue badge under the reviews and a fixed set of them: the G2 reviews on your profile on the day you built it. Daily updates come with a paid plan.

SEO + AI schema · paid plans

Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your G2 reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

How to Add G2 Reviews to Carrd

Connect your G2 profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the Embed element on Carrd and publish. Embed elements require Carrd Pro Standard or higher.

  1. 1

Open your Carrd site in the editor.

  2. 2

Add an Embed element where the reviews should appear.

  3. 3

Set Type to Code and paste the BlooTrue embed code.

  4. 4

Save and publish — the widget renders on the live one-pager.

Embed elements only render on the published site, never inside the Carrd editor.

Where the Code Goes on Carrd

Carrd stores the snippet in an Embed element with its Type set to Code, added to the one-pager like any other element.

The editor never renders embeds, so the element appears as a labelled box while you edit and the reviews show up only after you publish. Width follows the element's column, and height follows the widget on the published page. Carrd can also inject an Embed element's code into the page head or body instead of displaying it inline, so keep it inline and the reviews stay where you placed them, ideally just above the contact form.

If the widget does not show on Carrd

  • The Carrd editor shows the Embed element as a box with no reviews. That is normal; publish and check the live one-pager.
  • If the Embed element is missing from the add menu, your Carrd plan is below Pro Standard. Upgrade the Carrd plan to unlock it.
  • Reviews not inline although the page loads fine: the embed's placement is set to the head or body. Switch it back to inline.

Where G2 reviews help most on Carrd

SaaS teams building on Carrd usually care about the site looking sharp: dark themes, precise spacing, product screenshots.

The G2 widget should follow that, with its theme and accent colour matched to the page, placed as a band after the screenshots or the feature grid and before the pricing or sign-up section. A marquee or slider of short reviews reads well next to a row of customer logos. On a one-page launch site, one placement is enough. Keep it out of the hero, which on these sites belongs to the product itself and to the one sign-up button.

About G2 reviews in this widget

Your G2 widget lists the reviews from your G2 product profile and puts the star rating and review count G2 reports for that profile in the header. Both figures are read from G2, not averaged from the reviews on the page. G2 verifies the people who leave those ratings, which is why software buyers check them before booking a demo. The mistake to avoid is treating a G2 badge as an embed. G2 badges are image files with no review text behind them, so a visitor learns nothing beyond the logo. The widget shows the reviews themselves.

G2 Widget on Carrd — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue G2 review widget free for Carrd?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed G2 reviews on Carrd. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on Carrd?
Open your Carrd site in the editor. Add an Embed element where the reviews should appear. Set Type to Code and paste the BlooTrue embed code. Save and publish — the widget renders on the live one-pager. Embed elements require Carrd Pro Standard or higher.
Anything specific to Carrd worth knowing before I embed?
Embed elements only render on the published site, never inside the Carrd editor.
Where should I place G2 reviews on Carrd for the biggest lift?
Directly above the contact form on the one-pager — last proof before the ask.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your G2 reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching Carrd again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
We have two products listed on G2, can each one get its own widget?
Each widget reads one G2 product profile, the page at g2.com/products/your-product/reviews, so two products means two widgets with two URLs. The free plan includes a single widget, so start with the product your site promotes most; the header will carry that product's own G2 rating and review count.
Which number sits at the top of the G2 widget?
The star rating and review count from your G2 product profile, as G2 publishes them. BlooTrue does not build a new average from the G2 reviews it displays. Since the free plan lists only your G2 reviews of four stars and up, the header can read lower than the reviews under it, because G2 counts the lower ratings too.
What do I give up by using the free plan for G2 reviews?
Two things. A small BlooTrue badge appears on the widget, and the widget keeps the G2 reviews present when you created it rather than fetching new ones. There is no card to enter and no view limit. Paid plans remove the badge and check your G2 profile every day for reviews added since.
