Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your RateMDs reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

The same widget, built from whichever platform your reviews live on. Free plan on every one.

How to Add RateMDs Reviews to Squarespace

Connect your RateMDs profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the Code Block on Squarespace and publish. Code Blocks exist on every Squarespace plan, but JavaScript and iframes only render on Core, Plus, Advanced, Business and Commerce. Not Personal.

  1. 1

Open the page in the Squarespace editor.

  2. 2

Add a block and choose Code.

  3. 3

Paste the BlooTrue embed code (leave type as HTML).

  4. 4

Save — the widget renders on the live page (preview may show a placeholder).

The editor shows Code Blocks as a gray placeholder — the widget renders on the published page.

Where the Code Goes on Squarespace

In Squarespace the embed code goes into a Code Block, added from the block menu on the page with the type left as HTML. The editor shows a Code Block as a gray placeholder, so you never see the reviews inside the editor; they render on the live page after you save.

The block fills the width of its column in the section grid and expands to the widget's height. A Code Block is per page, and Code Injection under Settings is the site-wide alternative, but it puts code in the header or footer rather than in the page body.

If the widget does not show on Squarespace

  • If the live page shows nothing, check your plan; JavaScript in Code Blocks does not render on the Personal plan.
  • If the editor shows a gray box, that is normal; Squarespace renders Code Blocks on the published page only.
  • If the code appears as text, confirm the Code Block type is set to HTML, not Markdown.

Still blank? Our help article Widget not showing covers the checks that apply on every site.

Where RateMDs reviews help most on Squarespace

A practice site on Squarespace usually has a home page, a page per service, a team page and a booking or contact page.

The RateMDs widget belongs on the booking or contact page beside the form, and on each practitioner's profile on the team page, since patients choose a person as much as a clinic. The home page can carry a compact version under the hero. Some medical regulators limit how testimonials may be used, so confirm what applies to your profession and region before putting reviews on service pages that describe treatments.

About RateMDs reviews in this widget

The RateMDs widget brings the patient reviews from your RateMDs profile onto your practice site, with the rating out of 5 and the review count RateMDs publishes in the header. Patients review doctors there without attaching a name, so the widget shows them unnamed, exactly as the source does. Reviewers score staff, punctuality, helpfulness and knowledge separately, and the header figure is the overall average RateMDs itself calculates, never a number worked out from the reviews sitting on your page. Anything RateMDs has hidden never reaches the widget.

RateMDs Widget on Squarespace — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue RateMDs review widget free for Squarespace?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed RateMDs patient reviews on Squarespace. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on Squarespace?
Open the page in the Squarespace editor. Add a block and choose Code. Paste the BlooTrue embed code (leave type as HTML). Save — the widget renders on the live page (preview may show a placeholder). Code Blocks exist on every Squarespace plan, but JavaScript and iframes only render on Core, Plus, Advanced, Business and Commerce. Not Personal.
Anything specific to Squarespace worth knowing before I embed?
The editor shows Code Blocks as a gray placeholder — the widget renders on the published page.
Where should I place RateMDs patient reviews on Squarespace for the biggest lift?
An empty full-width section under the intro — Squarespace's spacing frames the reviews cleanly.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your RateMDs patient reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching Squarespace again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
What do I paste into the builder to pull my RateMDs reviews?
The full address of your profile, the one containing /doctor-ratings/ followed by a number and your name. A city or specialty listing page will not work, and neither will your name on its own, because the profile address is what identifies you. Then pick a layout and paste the embed.
Why do the reviews in my widget have no patient names?
Because RateMDs publishes them that way. Patients write about a doctor there without attaching a name, so there is no name for the widget to carry, and inventing one would misrepresent the source. Each card shows the score, the date and what the patient actually wrote.
Will my RateMDs rating show as stars in Google search results?
No. Google's review-snippet rules exclude reviews a business shows about itself through an embedded widget. On a paid plan the embed still publishes schema.org markup with your rating and review count, so search engines and AI assistants can read it, but only when the widget renders inline rather than inside a sandboxed iframe, since search engines cannot read what a sandbox hides.
