Do I need an account to build a G2 review widget?

Why is the embed code emailed instead of shown on screen?

Because the code has to reach an inbox you actually own. Emailing it replaces the usual sign-up-and-verify step entirely, so there is no password to choose and no confirmation link to hunt for — the code arriving is the confirmation.

What if my business does not appear in the search?

Paste your G2 profile URL straight from your browser's address bar instead of typing the name. The URL identifies the business exactly, which matters when the name is common or the listing sits in another country.

Does the preview show my real G2 reviews?

Yes. As soon as you pick your business the preview swaps its sample cards for your own G2 reviews — the same ones the published widget will render, with the same rating and the same review count.

Can I change the widget after I have built it?

Yes. The email includes a link that opens your widget for editing without a password, and any change you save goes live on your site immediately — you do not paste the code again.
