Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your Expedia reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

The same widget, built from whichever platform your reviews live on. Free plan on every one.

How to Add Expedia Reviews to Zoho Sites

Connect your Expedia profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the Code Snippet element on Zoho Sites and publish.

  1. 1

Open the page in the Zoho Sites builder.

  2. 2

Click the Add icon, select Elements, and drag the Code Snippet element onto the page.

  3. 3

Name the snippet, paste the BlooTrue embed code, and click OK.

  4. 4

Publish the site — the widget renders on the live page.

Zoho Sites blocks script previews inside the builder for security — the reviews render only after you PUBLISH, not in preview.

Where the Code Goes on Zoho Sites

In Zoho Sites the embed code goes into a Code Snippet element, found under the Add icon in Elements and dragged onto the page, where you name the snippet and paste the code before clicking OK. Zoho Sites blocks script previews inside the builder for security, so neither the canvas nor the preview shows the reviews; they render only after you publish.

The element sits in the page's section flow and expands to the widget's height. It is per page, so a Code Snippet on one service page does not appear on other pages unless you add it there.

If the widget does not show on Zoho Sites

  • If the reviews do not show in preview, that is expected; Zoho Sites blocks script previews in the builder, so check after publishing.
  • If the published page is still blank where the snippet sits, reopen the Code Snippet element and confirm the code was saved by clicking OK.
  • If the widget appears on only one page, add the Code Snippet element on every page where you want reviews.

Still blank? Our help article Widget not showing covers the checks that apply on every site.

Where Expedia reviews help most on Zoho Sites

For a small hotel, B&B or holiday rental, the Zoho Sites site is the brochure, and the booking engine is either built in or linked from it.

Two places count. The home page, just under the hero photo, is where a visitor who found you on Expedia checks that you are the same place with the same score. The rooms or property page, right above the Book now button, is where they decide. If the site has a page per room or per unit, the widget can repeat on each. Skip the contact and directions pages: a guest looking up your address has usually booked already, and the reviews there only push the map down.

About Expedia reviews in this widget

The Expedia widget shows the guest reviews from your property's Expedia page, with the guest rating and review count Expedia publishes in the header. Expedia lets only travelers who booked through Expedia and completed the stay leave a review, so every review in the widget comes from an actual stay. The mistake hoteliers make is expecting feedback from guests who booked direct to turn up here. It cannot; a review that was never posted on Expedia is not in the widget. The header is Expedia's own figure, not an average of the reviews shown.

Expedia Widget on Zoho Sites — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue Expedia review widget free for Zoho Sites?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed Expedia reviews on Zoho Sites. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on Zoho Sites?
Open the page in the Zoho Sites builder. Click the Add icon, select Elements, and drag the Code Snippet element onto the page. Name the snippet, paste the BlooTrue embed code, and click OK. Publish the site — the widget renders on the live page.
Anything specific to Zoho Sites worth knowing before I embed?
Zoho Sites blocks script previews inside the builder for security — the reviews render only after you PUBLISH, not in preview.
Where should I place Expedia reviews on Zoho Sites for the biggest lift?
Above the lead form on service pages — Zoho Sites users usually run Zoho CRM, and review proof right before the form lifts submissions.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your Expedia reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching Zoho Sites again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
Which Expedia page do I paste to pull my property's reviews?
Your property's own page on Expedia. Its address ends with a number after .h and the words Hotel-Information, for example expedia.com/City-Hotels-Your-Property.h123456.Hotel-Information. That page holds the guest rating and the traveler reviews the widget reads. Paste it, choose a layout and copy the embed onto your booking page.
Does the number at the top of the Expedia widget match my Expedia page?
It is the guest rating and review count Expedia publishes for your property, copied rather than recalculated, so it matches the page as of the widget's last read. On the free plan that read happened when you created the widget; paid plans read the page daily, so the header follows your Expedia rating as new stays are reviewed.
Can the Expedia widget give my hotel page star rich snippets in Google?
No. Google's review-snippet rules exclude reviews a business shows about itself through an embedded widget. Paid plans still add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD with your Expedia guest rating and review count to the page, which search engines and AI assistants can read if the embed is rendered inline; inside a sandboxed iframe it is invisible to them. The free plan adds no markup.
