Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your Expedia reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

The same widget, built from whichever platform your reviews live on. Free plan on every one.

How to Add Expedia Reviews to Elementor

Connect your Expedia profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the HTML widget on Elementor and publish.

  1. 1

    Edit the page with Elementor.

  2. 2

Drag the HTML widget from the Elementor panel into a section.

  3. 3

Paste the BlooTrue embed code into the HTML Code field.

  4. 4

Click Update — the widget renders immediately, including in the editor.

Use the HTML widget, not a Text Editor widget — the text editor sanitizes script tags on save.

Where the Code Goes on Elementor

In Elementor the embed code goes into the HTML widget, dragged from the Elementor panel into a section and pasted into its HTML Code field.

Elementor runs the script on the canvas, so the reviews show while you edit as well as after you click Update. Do not use a Text Editor widget, because it sanitizes script tags on save. The widget takes the width of its column and its height follows the reviews. Since Elementor runs inside WordPress, a caching or security plugin can serve a stale page or block the script; purge the cache after updating.

If the widget does not show on Elementor

  • If the reviews vanished after saving, you used a Text Editor widget; move the code into an HTML widget, which keeps script tags.
  • If the editor shows the reviews but the live page does not, purge your WordPress caching plugin so the updated page is served.
  • If a security or optimization plugin defers scripts, exclude the BlooTrue script from its settings and reload.

Expedia Review Widget for Elementor — Free, No Plugin

Embed Expedia reviews on any Elementor page with a single copy-paste embed code. Verified-traveler Expedia reviews, where guests decide to book. Installs via the HTML widget.

Where Expedia reviews help most on Elementor

A hotel or rental running on Elementor usually has more than a handful of pages: rooms, local guides, a blog about the area.

Guide and blog pages pull in travellers who have not picked a place yet, which makes them a good home for a compact Expedia widget at the end of the post, beside a link to the rooms. On the rooms page itself, place the full widget above the booking form or booking plugin, as its own block rather than inside the plugin's settings. Keep one widget per page. A theme that also adds its own testimonial block gives two sets of praise saying the same thing, so pick one.

About Expedia reviews in this widget

The Expedia widget shows the guest reviews from your property's Expedia page, with the guest rating and review count Expedia publishes in the header. Expedia lets only travelers who booked through Expedia and completed the stay leave a review, so every review in the widget comes from an actual stay. The mistake hoteliers make is expecting feedback from guests who booked direct to turn up here. It cannot; a review that was never posted on Expedia is not in the widget. The header is Expedia's own figure, not an average of the reviews shown.

Expedia Widget on Elementor — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue Expedia review widget free for Elementor?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed Expedia reviews on Elementor. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on Elementor?
Edit the page with Elementor. Drag the HTML widget from the Elementor panel into a section. Paste the BlooTrue embed code into the HTML Code field. Click Update — the widget renders immediately, including in the editor.
Anything specific to Elementor worth knowing before I embed?
Use the HTML widget, not a Text Editor widget — the text editor sanitizes script tags on save.
Where should I place Expedia reviews on Elementor for the biggest lift?
A full-width section under the hero, or inside a popup triggered on exit intent.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your Expedia reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching Elementor again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
Which Expedia page do I paste to pull my property's reviews?
Your property's own page on Expedia. Its address ends with a number after .h and the words Hotel-Information, for example expedia.com/City-Hotels-Your-Property.h123456.Hotel-Information. That page holds the guest rating and the traveler reviews the widget reads. Paste it, choose a layout and copy the embed onto your booking page.
Does the number at the top of the Expedia widget match my Expedia page?
It is the guest rating and review count Expedia publishes for your property, copied rather than recalculated, so it matches the page as of the widget's last read. On the free plan that read happened when you created the widget; paid plans read the page daily, so the header follows your Expedia rating as new stays are reviewed.
Can the Expedia widget give my hotel page star rich snippets in Google?
No. Google's review-snippet rules exclude reviews a business shows about itself through an embedded widget. Paid plans still add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD with your Expedia guest rating and review count to the page, which search engines and AI assistants can read if the embed is rendered inline; inside a sandboxed iframe it is invisible to them. The free plan adds no markup.
