How to Add Google Play Reviews to Lodgify

Connect your Google Play profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the Raw HTML widget on Lodgify and publish.

    In your Lodgify dashboard open Website then Pages, and pick the page you want.

    Click Add new widget and choose Raw HTML.

    Click Publish website — the widget renders on the live site.

The widget does not render inside the Lodgify editor, only on the published site — click Publish website and open the live URL before deciding it did not work.

Where the Code Goes on Lodgify

Lodgify keeps page content in its own website builder rather than a theme, so the embed goes in as a widget: open Website then Pages, pick the page, click Add new widget and choose Raw HTML. Paste the code into the field, save, then drag the block to where it belongs on the page.

The block takes the width of the column it sits in and grows with the reviews. Nothing renders inside the editor, so the page has to be published before the widget appears.

If the widget does not show on Lodgify

  • The widget is invisible in the Lodgify editor by design. Click Publish website and open the live URL before assuming the paste failed.
  • If the block is on the page but empty on the live site, reopen the Raw HTML widget and check the whole snippet is there — both the div and the script line.
  • If it shows on one page only, remember the widget is per page in Lodgify: repeat the paste on each property page you want it on.

An app's landing site on Lodgify usually has a hero with phone screenshots, a feature list and store buttons.

Place the Google Play widget after the features and before the final download section, so visitors reach the store buttons having read what users say. Reviews on Google Play come from Google accounts that installed the app, and the header figure is Google's, not one the widget works out. Site owners' usual mistake is picking the Google source instead of Google Play. Google reviews belong to a Business Profile, the map listing for a shop or office, and are unrelated to your app. Choose Google Play and paste the store listing URL.

Our last update brought a wave of one-star Play reviews, will they show on my site?
Not on the free plan, which lists only Google Play reviews rated four stars and above. The store rating in the header is a separate matter: it is the figure from your listing, so if that rating fell after the release, the header shows the lower number the next time the widget refreshes, and free widgets never refresh.
