Where the Code Goes on Showit

Showit places the snippet in an Embed Code widget on the design canvas, with the code entered in the widget's settings.

The design app shows a box for the widget rather than the reviews; the published site renders them. Showit positions every element absolutely, so the widget only gets the box you draw: set its width and height on the desktop canvas and again on the mobile canvas, allowing enough height for the reviews, or the content spills into whatever sits below. Portfolio and About pages are edited individually, so add the widget to each page before you publish.

If the widget does not show on Showit

  • Reviews overlapping the next canvas on the published site mean the Embed Code widget's box is shorter than the widget; make it taller and republish.
  • If the widget looks right on desktop but is clipped on phones, switch to the mobile canvas in Showit and resize the box there separately.
  • An empty box in the Showit design app is normal for the Embed Code widget; publish the site and check the live page for the reviews.

Google reviews belong to a Business Profile, the map listing for a shop or office, and are unrelated to your app. Choose Google Play and paste the store listing URL.
