How to Add Google Play Reviews to Canva

Connect your Google Play profile in BlooTrue, pick a style, then paste one embed code into the Embed element on Canva and publish.

Where the Code Goes on Canva

Canva websites take the widget as a URL, not as raw HTML. Choose Apps → Embed, or type Embed in the elements search, and paste the widget's direct URL from the BlooTrue embed panel instead of the script tag.

Canva shows the embed as a resizable element on the canvas, and you drag it to the height the reviews need, because the frame does not grow on its own. On the published website Canva renders the embed inside an iframe, isolated from the page's own HTML. Place it under the hero block, ahead of pricing.

If the widget does not show on Canva

  • If Canva rejects what you paste, you probably pasted the script tag. Canva's Embed element accepts a URL only, so use the widget's direct URL.
  • Reviews cut off inside the Canva embed? Drag the element taller on the canvas; the iframe does not expand by itself to fit the widget.
  • Changed the URL but the live site still shows the old widget? Canva websites update only when you publish again from the editor.

App landing pages on Canva are usually designed to feel like the app: device mockups, motion, the app's own colours.

Match the Google Play widget's accent and theme to that, and place it between the feature showcase and the download buttons. A marquee of short reviews suits the format, since store reviews tend to be a line or two. Keep the hero for the product itself; a rating line next to the store badge is enough there. On a one-page site, one full placement plus that small line covers it, and anything more starts to crowd the screenshots.

The Google Play widget puts your app's Play Store rating out of 5, its review count and the user reviews from its store listing on your site, all read from Google Play. Reviews on Google Play come from Google accounts that installed the app, and the header figure is Google's, not one the widget works out. Site owners' usual mistake is picking the Google source instead of Google Play. Google reviews belong to a Business Profile, the map listing for a shop or office, and are unrelated to your app. Choose Google Play and paste the store listing URL.

Our last update brought a wave of one-star Play reviews, will they show on my site?
Not on the free plan, which lists only Google Play reviews rated four stars and above. The store rating in the header is a separate matter: it is the figure from your listing, so if that rating fell after the release, the header shows the lower number the next time the widget refreshes, and free widgets never refresh.
