Facebook Review Widget for WooCommerce — Free, Plugin-Free, the Only Free Path

BlooTrue's Facebook Review Widget for WooCommerce is a free, plugin-free embed that displays your Facebook reviews on any WooCommerce store. There's a double gap here: Facebook does not publish an official embed widget for merchants (its Fusion API is gated for partner apps like Apple Maps and Trivago), and the third-party Facebook plugins in the WordPress directory import review records into your database and add to your update queue. BlooTrue bridges both with a pure script embed pasted into a Custom HTML block on any shop page, product page, or landing page — or into the Text (HTML) tab of the product description if you use the classic editor. Zero rows added to wp_posts or wp_postmeta, zero plugin updates, works with any theme (Storefront, Astra, Flatsome, block themes). Effective placements include directly below the product description, the homepage, and checkout-adjacent trust sections. Six widget styles, light and dark themes, free custom color picker, SEO rich snippets — schema.org Review + AggregateRating JSON-LD — injected automatically.

How to embed Facebook reviews on WooCommerce in 60 seconds

  1. Paste your Facebook Page URL (facebook.com/yourpage-slug) into the configurator above.
  2. Pick a widget style and customize colors, theme, and layout.
  3. Click Copy Code to get the one-line HTML embed.
  4. In your WordPress admin, open the shop page, product, or landing page where you want reviews.
  5. Click the + block inserter, search for "Custom HTML", add the block, and paste the embed.
  6. Click Update — reviews appear instantly. No plugin needed.

Why doesn't Facebook have an official embed?

Facebook's Fusion API is positioned as a partner-channel product (used by sites like Apple Maps and Trivago) rather than a merchant self-service product. Facebook does not publish a paste-ready embed widget the way Google publishes Place Cards. For WooCommerce merchants the practical choices are a third-party plugin (database weight, update maintenance) or a script embed like BlooTrue (no install, CDN-served, free).

Get golden stars in Google search results

On paid plans, every BlooTrue widget injects schema.org Review + AggregateRating JSON-LD straight into your page — so Google and AI answer engines can read your ratings and reviews as structured data, and your pages become eligible for star-rating rich snippets. (Google treats a business's own reviews on its own site as "self-serving" and doesn't guarantee stars for them — product/service reviews are the most reliably eligible; either way your reviews become machine-readable for search and AI.)

Your Business — Trusted by 500+ Happy Customers

See what 127 verified customers are saying — read real Google reviews, ratings, and detailed feedback about our services, pricing, and team.

4.9
(127)
This is what your customers see when they Google you — powered by BlooTrue's JSON-LD.
  • Zero config — it just works

    The moment you embed a BlooTrue widget, JSON-LD markup is injected automatically. No extra tags, no developer time.

  • Google Rich Results valid

    Every field follows Google's current structured-data guidelines — LocalBusiness, AggregateRating, and Review — so it passes the Rich Results Test out of the box.

  • Standalone schema endpoint Paid plans

    For star ratings to appear under your parent page's blue link in Google, search engines need the schema on the parent page itself — iframe-embedded schema is not propagated to the host page. Paid plans expose a JSON-LD endpoint per widget that you drop into your<head>for SERP rich snippets on product, landing, or legacy pages. Schema markup is a paid feature: free-plan widgets display your reviews but don't emit JSON-LD, so free pages aren't eligible for rich snippets.

What gets injected automaticallylive

  "@type": "LocalBusiness",
  "name": "Your Business",
  "aggregateRating": {
    "ratingValue": "4.9",
    "reviewCount": "127"
  }
}
</script>

Star-snippet visibility is ultimately decided by Google — valid schema is a prerequisite, not a guarantee. BlooTrue ships the markup; Google decides which queries get stars. For SERP rich snippets to appear under your parent page's link, the schema must be served on the parent page itself — that's what the standalone JSON-LD endpoint (paid plans) is for. Schema markup is a paid feature, so free-plan widgets display your reviews but don't emit JSON-LD. Independent studies find pages with valid review schema see materially higher click-through rates than plain listings.

Why Use BlooTrue for Facebook on WooCommerce?

The plugin-free way to put Facebook reviews on a WooCommerce store — Facebook has no embed, and plugins bloat your database.

Fills Facebook's Missing Embed

Facebook doesn't publish an official embed widget for merchants. BlooTrue is the free, paste-and-go alternative — pulls reviews from your public Facebook page automatically.

No Plugin, No Database Bloat

Third-party Facebook plugins import review records into wp_posts and wp_postmeta and need updates. BlooTrue is a script embed — zero database rows, zero plugin maintenance.

Block + Classic Editor Support

Custom HTML block in the block editor, or the Text/HTML tab of the product description in the classic editor. Works with Storefront, Astra, and every theme.

No Facebook API Key Required

Works with any public Facebook Page. No Facebook Fusion application, no API quotas, no business-level claim required.

What makes a Facebook widget different from a Google review widget?

Facebook's recommendation system works differently from star-based platforms like Google. Knowing how recommendations become stars, and how Page moderation works, avoids surprises after you embed.

How BlooTrue turns Facebook recommendations into star ratings

Facebook retired numeric star ratings in 2018. Instead, visitors tap Recommends or Doesn't recommend and write a short comment, and the Page shows a percentage of people who recommend it. BlooTrue normalizes that into the star format your other widgets use: each “Recommends” renders as a 5-star review, each “Doesn't recommend” as 1 star, and the Page's overall recommendation percentage becomes a clean 0–5 star header rating. The result is a Facebook widget that looks and reads exactly like your Google or Yelp widget — no confusing percentages on your site. The header rating always comes from Facebook's own published aggregate, never from averaging the individual cards.

Where the recommendations come from and how often they refresh

BlooTrue fetches the publicly-visible recommendations from your Facebook Page on a server-side schedule — roughly once every 24 hours on paid plans — and caches the result. Your site never calls Facebook directly, so visitor traffic to your page doesn't depend on Facebook being reachable, and the widget loads instantly from cache. Only recommendations that are public on your Page are included; anything set to private or hidden by the Page owner is never pulled. Each recommendation keeps its reviewer name, photo, and comment, and links back to your Facebook Page.

Turning on recommendations and what shows up in the widget

Recommendations only appear if your Page has the Reviews / Recommendations section enabled and public. If your Page is brand new or has recommendations switched off, there's nothing for the widget to import yet — turn the section on in your Page settings and the widget will populate as soon as your first public recommendation lands. Once enabled, the widget shows whatever your Page shows publicly: no more, no less. If a recommendation disappears from your widget after a sync, it almost always means the reviewer deleted it or Facebook removed it — the widget simply follows your Page's public state.

Moderation, Community Standards, and attribution

Facebook moderates recommendations under its Community Standards and removes spam, hate speech, and content that violates its policies. Because BlooTrue reads only your Page's public recommendations, the widget automatically reflects those removals on the next sync — you never display content Facebook has already taken down. Every card keeps the Facebook mark and the reviewer's name, and clicking a review links back to your Facebook Page, so attribution stays intact. BlooTrue never fabricates a rating: an empty “Recommends” with no comment is still shown as a real recommendation, and the header number is always Facebook's own aggregate.

Facebook tips for WooCommerce

  • Place the Facebook widget below the product description or in a homepage trust section — it does not interfere with WooCommerce's native product reviews.
  • The widget is a script embed, not a plugin, so it adds zero rows to your WooCommerce database and never appears in your plugin-update queue.
  • Service businesses using WooCommerce Bookings can pair the Facebook widget with the booking form page for social proof at the decision point.

How Do I Install BlooTrue Facebook on WooCommerce?

Takes less than a minute. One Custom HTML block — block editor or classic editor.

1

Open the Page in the WordPress Editor

In your WordPress admin, open the shop page, product page, or landing page where you want Facebook reviews. WooCommerce pages edit like any other WordPress page.

Good placements: below the product description, on the homepage, or in a checkout-adjacent trust section.

2

Add a Custom HTML Block

Click the + block inserter and search for "Custom HTML". Add the block where the reviews should appear.

Classic editor? Switch the product description to the Text (HTML) tab and paste the embed there instead.

3

Paste the Facebook Embed Code

Paste the BlooTrue Facebook embed code into the Custom HTML block. Use the block's Preview toggle to confirm the widget renders before publishing.

4

Click Update

Click Update. Your Facebook reviews go live instantly — no plugin install, nothing written to your WordPress database, nothing new in your update queue.

Reviews auto-sync from Facebook every 24 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Facebook offer its own embed widget for WooCommerce?

No. Facebook does not provide an official embed widget for businesses — Facebook's Fusion API is gated for partner apps, not merchant self-embeds. The Facebook plugins in the WordPress directory are third-party, add database weight, and need updates. BlooTrue is the plugin-free path.

Do I need a WooCommerce plugin to show Facebook reviews?

No. BlooTrue pastes into a standard Custom HTML block — nothing to install, nothing added to your database, nothing new in your plugin-update queue.

Do I need a Facebook API key or Facebook Fusion access?

No. BlooTrue works with any public Facebook Page — no Facebook API key, no Facebook Fusion application, no business-level claim required.

Can I put Facebook reviews on WooCommerce product pages?

Yes. Add a Custom HTML block anywhere on the product or shop page, or paste into the Text (HTML) tab of the product description in the classic editor. Best spots: below the product description, homepage, and checkout-adjacent trust sections.

Will the widget slow down my WooCommerce store?

No. The widget loads asynchronously and adds no PHP execution or database queries to page loads. The script is under 20KB and reviews are served from a CDN cache. Typical impact on Largest Contentful Paint is under 50ms.

Is the BlooTrue Facebook widget free for WooCommerce?

Yes. Completely free — no plugin purchase, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your Facebook reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer.

Does it work with my theme (Storefront, Astra, etc.)?

Yes. The widget renders inside a standard Custom HTML block, which every WordPress theme supports — Storefront, Astra, Flatsome, and block themes all work without configuration.
