Review schema markup, on paid plans

Paid widgets add schema.org Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD to the page they sit on, so search engines and AI answer engines can read your Facebook reviews as structured data. Google does not show review stars for reviews a business shows about itself, so the gain is readability, not stars. The free plan shows the reviews without the schema. See how the schema works

The same widget, built from whichever platform your reviews live on. Free plan on every one.

How to Add Facebook Reviews to Softr

One embed code, pasted into the Custom Code block (Blocks → Static). Custom code requires the Softr Basic plan or above.

  1. 1

Open your app in the Softr Studio.

  2. 2

Add a block: Blocks → Static → Custom code, placed where the reviews should appear.

  3. 3

Paste the BlooTrue embed code into the block.

  4. 4

Publish — the widget renders on the live app.

Softr's Custom code block is available on the Basic plan and above — free workspaces won't render it.

Where the Code Goes on Softr

In Softr you add the embed through a Custom code block from the Static section of the Studio's block picker. The block is a full-width section that stacks between your other blocks, and the reviews take that section's width and whatever height they need. The Studio canvas is a working preview of the app, but the published app is where you should confirm the widget, since nothing reaches visitors until you click Publish. Softr blocks can be shown or hidden per user group, so a block placed on a logged-in page follows that page's visibility rules.

If the widget does not show on Softr

  • If the Custom code block renders nothing on your published Softr app, check the workspace plan first; free workspaces do not run custom code blocks.
  • Widget visible in the Studio but not for a visitor? Click Publish, then check the block's visibility settings, which can restrict it to certain user groups.
  • The block picker files Custom code under Static, not under the dynamic list blocks; if you cannot find it, open Blocks, then Static, and scroll.

Where Facebook reviews help most on Softr

A custom site for a local business, or a brand with several branches, usually has a template per location page. Render the Facebook widget for that location on its own page, near the address, the hours and the call button, so each branch shows its own reviews and its own score. One widget for the whole brand on every location page would show the same reviews everywhere and hide the real difference between branches. On the home page, a compact badge is enough. Add the widget to the location template once rather than page by page, and every new branch page picks it up when it goes live.

About Facebook reviews in this widget

The Facebook widget embeds the recommendations left on your Facebook Page. Facebook retired star ratings for Pages in 2018, so there is no native Facebook star average; the widget shows each Recommends as a 5-star card and turns the Page's overall recommendation percentage into a 0 to 5 star figure for the header, both read from your Page. A customer leaves a recommendation by tapping Recommends or Doesn't recommend and writing a comment, which only works once Reviews are switched on in your Page settings. Many owners reach for Facebook's Page Plugin instead, an iframe of your timeline with no way to feature recommendations.

Facebook Widget on Softr — FAQ

Is the BlooTrue Facebook review widget free for Softr?
Yes. BlooTrue is completely free to embed Facebook reviews on Softr. No plugin, no recurring fee, unlimited views. The free plan shows your reviews with BlooTrue branding in the footer; paid plans remove the branding.
How do I install the widget on Softr?
Open your app in the Softr Studio. Add a block: Blocks → Static → Custom code, placed where the reviews should appear. Paste the BlooTrue embed code into the block. Publish — the widget renders on the live app. Custom code requires the Softr Basic plan or above.
Anything specific to Softr worth knowing before I embed?
Softr's Custom code block is available on the Basic plan and above — free workspaces won't render it.
Where should I place Facebook reviews on Softr for the biggest lift?
Softr client portals and directories earn trust fast with third-party stars on the landing block, right above the sign-up CTA.
Do the reviews stay up to date automatically?
Paid plans auto-sync your Facebook reviews daily, so the widget always shows your latest 5-star reviews without touching Softr again. The free plan shows the reviews imported at setup.
Facebook only lets people click Recommends, so what rating does my widget display?
Facebook dropped numeric stars for Pages in 2018, so the widget does not invent a Facebook star average. Each Recommends becomes a 5-star card, and the header converts the Page's overall recommendation percentage into a 0 to 5 star figure. Both come from your Page, not from a calculation over the cards on your site.
Can I use Facebook's own Page Plugin to embed my recommendations?
No. The Page Plugin drops your whole Page timeline into an iframe and has no setting to show only recommendations, and Facebook's own tools cannot place them on an external site at all. The BlooTrue builder takes your Page URL instead and gives you a one-line embed, with no Facebook ad spend and no plugin required.
My Page has no Reviews tab, so where would the recommendations come from?
They only exist once you turn them on: open your Facebook Page settings, find the Reviews or Recommendations option and switch it on. Until then customers cannot tap Recommends and the builder finds nothing to import. A free widget holds the recommendations found that day; paid plans check the Page daily and drop the BlooTrue badge.
